I just took delivery of my 7 seater. I chose it because it's almost the same as 5 seats, but provides the extra utility to carry more poeple if needed. I don't like 6 seats sacrificing trunk space (I think the 2022 refresh 6 seats cannot fold the last row).

I’ve had the 5, 6 and 7 seater X. I like the 6 seater the best.

It would be tough between the 5 and 6. I would not pay for the 7. The 7 isnt comfortable so we never used it except for very short distances

i have a Tesla Model X 7 Seater of my own and love it but I hate to say this if I’m paying hella money for the Model X, what makes you go with a 5 seater? Over a 6 or 7 seater, I get the whole space thing but I also have a model y with the third row and can fold the second and third row down and have a good enough amount of room with just that for about half the price of my X. What would make you still go with the 5 Seater? I mean it’s only a little bit more money for more seats and it’s already an expensive car.

i like the 6 seats i know you sadly loose that extra storage with the 6 and 7 seater but i like the 6 seater because it looks pretty and if i had a wife and 3 kids i would go to the 5 seater if i had 3 kids and hate being stuck next to each other 6 seater it is cause i love it so much!!

and you can just install arm rest for the 6 seater on both seats simple

if i needed the 7 or 5 seater i would just buy it

I would prefer 6 seater because as kids grow it can be annoying when they say they touched me or argue a lot so 6 seater is perfect because people can have space and they’re not touching each other 7 seater doesn’t have that much legroom in the third row

We are 72 and currently own a 2022 MYP and are considering moving UP to a new MX LR as a SPLURGE. While we might need more than 5 seats when the grandkids visit once a year, we'll save the $$$ and rent a vehicle as needed. The difference between the 5-seat Tax Credit Edition and a 7-seat X is $11K. So that's our plan a 5-seat Tax Credit Edition later this fall.

This answers many questions I had in mind for comparing the 5 and 6 seat ^^ I have a 2022 M3 and have had a CT reservation since 2020, finally being able to test drive the latter earlier today as well the MX again, and am increasingly leaning to MX living in more urban/suburban space~

Myself being a 17 x 6 seater owner , I’d never pay the premium for 6 seater again, not worth it at all. I have 2 young kids , rarely using the third row , 6 seater don’t make any sense neither for hauling people (not enough legroom) or hauling stuff, not enough cargo
