Hi Maxim - I’ve been checking YT each day this Christmas week in the expectation of you uploading something for us and sure enough here you are on Christmas Day playing a challenging Beethoven Sonata so very well. I was 13 yrs old when I first played Beethoven and his music has stuck with me all my life. Although I quickly add that you have always played so much better than I ever did, even so I till got a great deal of satisfaction from it. It’s a real joy to hear you play so well. I send another Christmas greeting to you and your family, as I have done now for several years and each year it pleases me greatly to see your keyboard skills improving. It’s a great gift 🎁

Your playing pulled me into the music so much that for awhile I stopped being aware that someone was actually playing the music. I think that says a lot about the depth of your talent. Jacqueline du Pres could do that with her cello too. I got the feeling that maybe your instinct was telling you to play a bit slower. If that's the case, you aren't the only person who feels that way about the tempo of the 3rd. movement. Many people play it extremely fast as I'm sure you are aware, seems to be a modern trend. I listened to you play this piese several times and each time, without exception, I fell under your spell and lost track that you were making the music happen. I've had a similar experience with some of your other performances too. Thanks for playing for us this Christmas day. What a great present.
