Amazes me how lecter managed to get free after being imprisoned in that cell
ОтветитьI preferred Billy Reubin from the book but the doctors anagrams are a nice addition
Ответитьthe only way his stolen the pin of the pen, is that he hypnotized him with inconscienscous suggestion like "Chilton...put it in my mouth"...like a snake hypnotizing a bird
ОтветитьRandom thought:
Is the actor of chilton the same guy that played Caesar in the biggus dickus scene?
The character actor who played Barney was great in Coming to America 😁
ОтветитьYou have to be a special kind of asshole to make the guy who EATS PEOPLE for a living seem like a better person
ОтветитьThe film implies that Lecter made a makeshift hand cuff key by using Chilton's pen but in the novel, Lecter had one for years prior to his escape.
ОтветитьChilton went into business for himself by trying to take credit for solely solving the case. He put that girl and everyone else in danger, he got police killed from being a selfish prick Not only did this POS doctor break the law by secretly taping a fbi interview but he tried to steal the credit for Clarice's work. He deserved what he got in the end. I wonder if he went on vacation out of the country because he was running from the law. Shame we didn't get to see him begging for his life.
ОтветитьTo me this scene always reminded me of Jack getting out of the kitchen vault in the shinning. Seriously how does he get that pen? In the book he's been collecting paper clips and staples and hiding them in his mouth, but here despite being restrained and guarded he gets the pen. It's almost supernatural.
ОтветитьIt's a shame the cops were cut down as a result of Chiltons mis-deeds, but the good Dr got what was coming to him.
ОтветитьAh the infamous pen............
ОтветитьHOW DID HE GET THE PEN. ALWAYS WONDERED HOW...
ОтветитьCROSS CENTURY PEN
Ответить"Barney"....
"....Mmm hmm".
I love hannibal and hated Chilton. So glad hannibal killed him lol
ОтветитьChilton was always petty and loathsome, but it turned problematic when Raúl Esparza made him really attractive at the same time.
ОтветитьHow does he get the pen? For me one of the most scary scenes in film history. It's as if he has powers beyond normal.
ОтветитьChilton's character was positively creepy even though Lector is the evil one. Watch Hannibal Rising since it explains how Hannibal Lector's childhood caused his "monster" to emerge.
ОтветитьYeah Hannibal is a monster…
But I 100% support the hatred of Chilton. The guy’s arrogance caused more than five people to die.
I thought for sure Hannibal would find some way to kill chilton as soon as he asked Barney to leave them
ОтветитьIf Hannibal escaped from the facility itself I don’t think he would kill Barney, cause he doesn’t treat him poorly unlike Chilton dose. Remember Hannibal hates people who are rude
ОтветитьI love the fact that because of this scene, Hannibal's inevitable escape after his transfer to Memphis is ultimately 100% Chilton's fault, due to his arrogance and incomptence in leaving a pen in Lecter's cell. If it weren't for the fact it's implied that Lecter kills and consumes Chilton after following him to the Bahamas, I think this would warrant Chilton getting fired for ultimately causing the release of a dangerous and notorious serial killer and cannibal, assuming Chilton wouldn't try to cover the situation or seek a scapegoat.
Ответитьhow he got the Pen ?..
ОтветитьMy favorite scene, and a great 'director's trick.' You KNOW Lecter is going to get that pen. It's just the way it is. It's funny when you think about HOW would he ever get that pen - in spite of being in a straightjacket, strapped to a heavy-duty dolly, and a steel mask also locked to the dolly (no mere mortal could even move an inch) - but he does get THAT pen, because he's LEGEND.
ОтветитьI don't get why this dude didn't get charged with something. He is the reason Hannibal got a chance to escape
ОтветитьI kind of prefer how he escapes here as opposed to the book. The fact that it was actually Chilton that left the pen behind is so fitting especially when they’re little weasel get it at the very end. Karma
Anthony Heald played this role perfectly.
The way Chilton is just laying down in Hannibal’s bed, hassling him is the perfect opening to this scene. We really see how damaged the Doctor patient relationship is to the point of no return
ОтветитьAnthony Heald does such a fantastic job as Dr Chilton.
ОтветитьWhat would happen if Lector was strapped, masked and left in utter solitary confinement?
ОтветитьI think Barney helped Lecter with his escape by slipping him the pen or part of the pen and also telling him where Chilton will be hiding
ОтветитьAnyone else wonder how Hannibal got that pen? I know he’s a genius, but he’s not a magician.
ОтветитьHannibal just couldn't condone disrespect. It's why Barney in the movie "Hannibal" is able to make a buck by selling the mask. He respected the man just enough to not be on his shit list
ОтветитьLouis Friend - Iron Sulfide
ОтветитьYou can see Barney doesn't like how Chilton is patronizing Hannibal. He knows it's only shaking a nest of vipers that's too cunning to underestimate. I could imagine Barney is on Hannibal's 'good' list that he won't touch-maybe maim to escape but not kill.
ОтветитьHannibal’s smile while his Dr is fn with him is absolutely 😂😂😂
ОтветитьThis is The Sociopath Trump's favorite character.
ОтветитьIt's amazing once again how also Anthony Hopkins was so calm like he is in real life for a Welsch actor. But they're like thr British, a lot of them are very poised. Not to again be prejudice.
Ответитьof course he doesn't give Chilton Buffalo Bill's real name he ends up giving him a false name which turns out to be another anagram
ОтветитьBarney was always respectful towards hannibal which did lead to him not going after Barney after he escaped. Too bad for Chilton.
ОтветитьAnyone else curious about how Hannibal managed to steal Chilton's pen? I mean he was in a straitjacket while secured to some kind of hand truck with his head immobile. How did he get a hold of it especially in the few seconds he was alone before the guards came in to wheel him out to bring him to meet the senator.
ОтветитьThis is why he had this prick “for dinner”.
ОтветитьDespite being cuffed and muzzled and restrained, Dr. Hannabal was in complete control of the situation.
Saw the pen as a potential weapon to kill at the first opportunity.
Shows you how dangerous and manipulative he really is.
Barney lives in prison but gets paid and sleeps at home for free. Barney was an opportunists but Hannibal respected it because they built a rapport over the decades.
ОтветитьHow did he get the pen with his arms being tied down???
ОтветитьCreepy… Dr Chilton resembles Governor Newsome…
ОтветитьI once watched this scene on mute (dont remember why) and the part where the camera switches between the pen and Lecter's face TOOK FOREVER!! you could cut the tension with a knife, shows you how great the camerawork is, you dont even need any audio, just the zooms and Hopkin's expression ("You will regret this, cant look forward to having you for dinner!")
ОтветитьSorry, sorry sorry gotcha sorry you’re OK. Everything’s fine. Everything’s fine gotcha. Gotcha sorry sorry sorry.
ОтветитьChilton got his karma in the end.
ОтветитьWhy does he have to wear that steel cage around his face instead of the one he was wearing at the airport?
Ответить
