@AliArango a la gente le encantan esas historias de etimología popular, pero esta al igual que otras como la de que gringo viene de "green go" no tiene nada que ver con la realidad. La palabra Guajiro viene del Arahuaco. En Colombia hay una región entera que se llama La Guajira y eso desde muchísimo antes de los acontecimientos de los que hablas en tu historia.
