Thank you for doing this - I've been thinking of trying Noom and found this video very helpful - am also considering WW because I've done that in the past. I have a few questions, if you don't mind.

1. Do they give you a daily target that you need to stay under (calories, etc.), or do they basically say this is how many green foods you need to eat at each meal, and how many yellows, and how many reds?
2. When you chat with your Coach - is it via chat only, or can you do video?
3. What were their meal plans like? Did you not like what they suggested, or was it something else?
4. You can talk to your "group" whenever you want, correct? Is it like a group chat, or Facebook group?
5. Is there anything else that you really liked or really hated about Noom?

Thank you and Happy New Year! :-)

Hi Kerry. I recently saw Dr Eric Bergs video about Noom. He is a big keto guy so of course he put down Noom as "just calorie counting" and then spent the rest of the video talking about how wonderful keto is. I doubt that he even spent two whole days reading the lessons and checking out the food lists and all that.

I've been on Noom this summer (2022) and have lost 12 pounds as well. For the 1st time all summer, I had a "cheat week" and now I am dealing with the consequences but I don't regret it for a minute. And I didn't even gain much weight. I have been on the Weight Watchers at work program twice in my life and, while I can recognize it as a reasonable weight loss tool, it never really worked well for me because of having to count everything I eat in points. I agree that Noom is NOT just about calorie counting. One of the things I love about it is that I don't have to count calories. I log my food and then the system does the analysis of what color calories they are and puts them in the right group and all I have to do is make sure I don't go over my daily calorie count or eat too many red foods (which are now orange foods by the way). I think noon is easily one of the best and easiest plans I've ever been on.
