Random question about damage increasing talents: If a talent increases the damage of say Searing Totem by 15%, does that get calculated before spell damage coefficients or afterward (afterward means that spell damage coefficients actually get further boosted by talents in theory)?

honestly after actually playing the shaman I couldn't understand how people claimed that windfury with slow AS is better for DPS. 20% chance of that windfury with your 3.7 attack speed means you just see bigger numbers, but you see less numbers overall than windfury with high AS weapon and it is incredibly boring to just see very slow animation resulting in a miss.


There shouldn't be a DPS difference depending on attack speed if procs are tied to PPM, having bigger crits by slow AS weapon is always going to be equalized by more crits of higher AS weapon if you consider it in a bigger picture, not oneshotting that gnome or mob while leveling.


For PVP, having that absolutely random potential to just smash someone to 10% health is cool and is worth using tho.

Does Earthbind Kiting even properly work in Classic? Heard the melee leeway is too big and its borderline useles.

Damn this is really really good information I cant find on any other video. Im trying to level a Shaman seriously as the class really resonates with me. I play a holy priest which is great but man I should have rolled shaman from the start. I didn't think it would feel this good in Classic. Can't wait to start raid healing! What I'm trying to figure out is how you can think using a coefficient to compare sumo wrestlers to runners can be used which only comparison is they may be both athletes to support that weapon buffs which are all weapon buffs could be relevant, not saying your data isnt incorrect when solo, but factor in a raid most likely there is

What if a arm warrior hit a wind fury proc then a hoj proc then wf again and it just keeps procing thus one shorting people

In raids use wind fury
In pvp use wind fury
In pvp use agi totem if u are on the hunter or rogue team
In leveling use Rb
In leveling use ft if you have flame weapon enchant

Please don't say 1 in 100 casts will get resisted, cause it's clear you know fully well that's not how percentages work, but I betcha there's at least 1 guy counting casts at the moment trying to time the resist and will have his world shattered when it happens at cast 37 :D But amazing guide, man, decided to go shammy for TBC, so both the vanilla and TBC guides are the most useful information I have found on the class!

Awesome Guide! I found a slight issue with the DpME Calculation. You are not autohitting while casting. So every shock/totem placed has a higher effective DpME due to being able to autohit in between.

Such an insightful guide. Also, you should become a teacher and use WoW examples for your lessons.

In pvp, they're the best class and pretty much op and unkillable.

An important rule for presentations is to not put dark on top of dark or light on top of light. You clearly did a lot of research, but undermine it by using dark blue (shaman color) on a black background. Instead of looking professional it looks amateurish, because you’re putting something in your presentation that isn’t legible.

the slower looks like it has a higher point but you also have to remember these weapons are 5 levels apart so its going to be higher regardless
even at 60 you have to pay attention to the phase they're from and the item level difference so its best to compare weapons that are closer in range

the real question i have is how far can you push agility with anticipation and dodge enchantments to increase your dodge to become a dodging enhancement shaman
since 20 agility= 1% dodge

Just play the game and have fun. When you start with runners and sumos, you lose me. It's a game! You guys are insane.
