I have had a ton of abuse!!! Have Complex PTSD and Religious Trauma Syndrome from a cult I used to go to. But, because of this, I already have a ton of anxiety, stress, and depression!!! Have a ton of flashbacks!!! Overwhelmed!!! Overwhelmed with everything!!! And, now, this is going to happen?!!? You're right!!! They couldn't care less about the poor!!! All I know is that I don't even want to live anymore!!! I was already extremely overwhelmed by literally everything!!! Went to the same cult Jim Jones got his start in!!! That should tell you everything you need to know about the cult I went to and the abuse that I went through while going there. But, now, I have to worry about this!!! I don't even want to live anymore!!! This life has already been nothing but a freaking nightmare for me and my life. And, now, they're trying to take away my only source of income?!!? My Social Security benefits were reduced, and they're now taking out money for Medicare. My Medicaid was canceled!!! My food assistance was also REDUCED!!! And, with the depression and anxiety levels being so high to begin with already, and now this, it's just way too much for ME to handle. I hate this world!!! This Already Great Country of ours is starting to go to HELL in a hand basket!!! Disgusting and freaking DEPLORABLE how they're treating the poor, middle class, and the disabled!!! And, a LOT of other groups of people!!! And, they wonder WHY people call them deplorable?!!? I mean, he IS a known groomer, pedophile, rapist, AND sex trafficker, too!!! How can people watch the federal government being taken apart and NOT figure out that chaos is no way to run any organization??? Even if you believe that government employees are lazy and overpaid (a common opinion among those who have never worked for a government agency), anyone should be able to see that there is never a reason to terrify, vilify, and humiliate any group of employees.

Local Social Security offices have operated efficiently for over 80 years. Elon and his teenagers have no idea what they are looking at when they look at spreadsheet headings. SSA programs are complex and no one without at least 3 or 4 months of intensive training can spot "fraud" by looking at computer categories. SSA outside audits have shown an incredibly low rate of fraud. It is a lie that social security benefits should be cut due to fraud/waste/abuse or that there are more employees than necessary to serve the 70 million current beneficiaries.

Why do MAGAs hate for citizens to collect SSI benefits? It’s money already paid forward.

Why would SSA deny SSI to a child with Downs Syndrome at birth (2007)? His father was in the military and is now retired since 2022; the second application was filed on March 5, 2025 (he turned 18 four days later). Will he get the SSI and retroactive from birth since the second application was filed before his 18th birthday?

married couple here; both on SS. I don't know what or who to trust regarding our checks and the SS System. I KNEW in November when Rump was voted in we were going to be in BIG trouble. I began to severely cut back and save for this possibility of not getting our checks (direct deposit in our case).I look at this as kind of like an "emergency fund." I don't know just how long we can make it but hopefully we can at least get through in the short term between what I have saved and the food in our freezer. I follow the Dave Ramsey budgeting system which is to have a set monthly budget and an emergency fund and this could certainly be an emergency on many levels. If I had been living on just SS alone I would have looked in November for a parttime job starting last November, begun to collect pop cans, cleaned homes, eat the free lunch's at our local senior center and research the local food banks. I have been through multiple economic downturns in my 74 years and I know to ALWAYS have a backup emergency plan.

I didn’t get my 1099 for 2024. I don’t know if it’s the system‘s fault or if it’s the post office‘s fault I have informed them and they said they will send out another. I’m just getting close to time. Is there anyway speak directly to someone or even go pick it up.
