I was told that I had to buy the whole throttle body for the throttle position sensor

So there's no adjustment required after installing the TPS?

I need to clean the throttle plate on my 2005 suzuki xl7 but am finding it hard to get to. Can you show how to do this?

I replaced mine on my 2001 GV xl7 per your instructions and am still having problems. There is still an error code on it and the realtime data shows that the throttle is at 11 % with no pressure on the accelerator. I cleaned the contacts with deoxid but no joy on that.
I just downloaded the shop manual and the procedure there is to rotate the sensor a few degrees CC so the holes don't line up press onto shaft and then rotate CW until they do. I am going to try reinstalling it tomorrow following these instructions and hope it eliminates the offset which is causing the vehicle to idle too
