I was born in 1991 so the first one (from 1980) was made 11 years before I was born. Its amazing watching things on telly that were before your time because you feel like you've always been around x

The Tea Folk need to make a comeback. With how bland the majority of modern adverts are, the return of old beloved mascots would surely make telly less.. boring

These adverts were lovely to watch. I liked the Tea Folk, although they did go on about their 2000 perforations a lot!

Speaking of those guys. they also appeared in the USA Commercials. and well, the main guy has a scottish accent.

The perforation counter broke down when it reached 2000. Guess it wasn't Y2K compliant.

I used to love these adverts, I'd go to my Nan's and they'd come on and my Nan lived on Tetleys, she even had a spoon in her collection with a Tetley man on it.

Was there an advert where they sang the lyrics "tetley green tea" in a song, or am i losing my mind

Oh I have that musical cup, sadly the sound box fell out and even though I used Gorilla glue to glue it back in and left it out all day to dry, it fell out again when I washed it so I had to throw the sound box out.

Fun Fact: Gaffer was Voiced by The Late Brian Glover (1934 - 1997), Who Appeared in: Alien 3 (1992) and An American Werewolf in London (1981)

Dang those 2015 ads were really solid. Im sure theres some comeback, then again its surely a hard thing to produce for a teabag company

The figures would be nice to have..they are so cute. Reminds me of the 80's..I wish I knew more about the characters, who's who. I don't know who would be my favorite. I used to love these!! 🍵

I have a little caring tin. It holds about 5 tea bags and comes in a blue Tetley Tea pouch. The tin is silver, with women in a pink sweater drinkn' tea. In Wicker chair. You can carry the tin in your purse..or a little travel bag. I don't know how old it is. My mom got for me. The proceeds went to cancer. I probably got around 1995

Tetley tea is sold here in the United States, too. Though we do drink tea hot, we sometimes put ice in ours as an alternative. This is especially this case with Southern style sweet tea.

I think it's time for the update of these Tetley Tea Folks Adverts with their comeback in 2010 and in broadcast order, don't you think?

I actually like the jingle of the tetley tea. And I love the design of the mascots.

I've remembered the Tetley folk for many years because of having Tetley tea in the house for most of the time but sadly we now drink other tea instead.
Saying that we do have the Tetley jigsaw puzzle with the folk on somewhere in the house.🏡🏠 😂
By the way RIP Brian Glover who famously voiced the Tetley adverts over the years.
