Sabian Cymbals: A Drumeo Documentary

Im just digging all this content Drumeo is producing.

Cool documentary.

I live in Moncton, Nb. guitar player and play drums on the side. all I play is sabian because well im a 2 hour drive from the factory.

The best deal in cymbals are Sabian XSR'S. What I like about them is their consistency. B20 and under a grand for the super set . Awesome .

sensational video! from following the entire process which was so cool to see, the relationship between Sabian and the community, the drumming colaboration with the first peoples, the craftsmen, staff and managment, and the history and story behind it all.. and to finish off with a drum display for the staff was super cool!!

My first set of cymbals I bought were SABIAN and man do I love them. Got myself a fat ride, crash, splash, hats and another crash! I've always felt a strong connection with the SABIAN cymbals and I don't know why. Not that Zildjian, paiste or meinl are bad or anything but my love is for SABIAN first. I share a room in a house now and haven't been playing drums for many many years. Seeing this documentary has me in tears, I just want to get my old kit back and have a jam. It's not all bad, I can pick up an Ekit for not too much. But really the acoustic is where it's at.

Man I'd LOVE to visit such a factory and try my hand at making a cymbal. I've always been a very tactile person so it'd be a perfect day for me.

When I was a kid, my dad bought me a set of Sabian cymbals. I still use Sabian because I love the sound. This is really cool to see!

It's really cool to see how much human input goes into the process of creating these cymbals, in drum shops each Cymbal I've seen looks so universally similar, they almost look machine made but there is so much craftsmanship it's really amazing to see!

I don't like Sabian's new logo at all.

Grew up about 20-30 minutes away from Meductic, started playing sabian as an amateur back in 1992 and am still playing them today (still as an amateur, haha).

I love everything about Sabian cymbals, except their new logo.

My family has always used Zildjian, but the best modern cymbals I’ve ever played were Sabians. I’m back to Zildjian, but I went with some vintage 1950s to go with my ‘53 Gretsch.

Fell in love with Sabian when I was 14 when I received a 19 inch AAX X-Plosion Crash for Christmas. I've gone through 3 of them so far. My favorite crash. I put it over top an A Custom any day. Thanks for this awesome in depth video of my favorite cymbal company!

Have used our church's Sabian Sbr cymbals for over 6 years...and manh🥴 they're still smacking to date

I wonder if the family gets along today…. Besides that… I been enjoying sabian for years! I have had b8s for years (they cheap but good for practice and small rooms) and last night I pulled a trigger to order HHX complex. And it’s coming in tomorrow (did a 1 day shipment)

One thing I can't understand is why Sabian changed their logo! The old one is much better!

My kids are both drummers. Mark Love and Sabian welcomed us and gave us the grand tour, maybe about a month before this video came out. This was I think a day or two after the passing of Dom Famularo. You could tell Dom played a big role for the company and that he had left a big mark. In the Area 51 room, there was a prototype of a China cymbal with "Dom's China" written on it with a Sharpie. They were developing the 20" HHX Dominator China and I got to see and hear the first one.

I always knew Sabian made great cymbals, but getting to tour the factory, seeing how everything is made and meeting the team really gave me an appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into it. Thanks Drumeo for putting out this video, it's cool to see the face of the people the kids and I met on that tour!

Very interesting and and entertaining documentary. Great job Jared. Todd is hilarious 😂 These people at Sabian are so genuine, lovable and dedicated to their products. I'm proud to say that when I decided to stop using my Zildjian hi hats and go with the lighter Sabian hats. That was a decision that elevated my playing and my career almost instantly. I also use a 18" Sabian crash ride. The other cymbals are Zildjian. I'm fussy about cymbals. I like what I like. The native American segment was strong. Loved it. Let's go Drumeo 📀

I love edging

Love SABIAN cymbals but there is no way I could tolerate MEGA HYPE HEAD JARED JERKOFF for even 4 minutes let alone 45 minutes!

Great video except for the Indigenous Guilt which is inherent in any Canadian setting. 🙄

I started playing drums when I was ~15 and when I could finally afford my own drum set at ~21 I happened to pick a Sabian AAX set after some tone testing in a huge music shop in northern Italy. I'm 33 now and I'm still buying more AAX cymbals because I really like them.
I got lucky. No cymbals ever broke despite all the beatings plus time, they sound amazing, and they seasoned very well!
I respect this company, as their products have been great and feel pretty sturdy.
I also went to a UFIP cymbal factory in Pistoia, that was a very nice experience
(but I stuck to Sabian because I enjoy their bright clean timbre) Keep it up! ❤
I hope I'll get the chance to play more and afford more cymbals. I love drumming

Not working propely, very odd technik of hammering and lathing cymbals. Same cymbals, etc. 17" crash totaly diffrent sound the same 17" crash.??? It's not good. Sorry for my thinking and my english but me, i see this that way.
