Does it have effects to the water discharge when the water source is like a calm river?

pretty cool . how do you handle the pump overflow ? with a pool to keep the overage in the system flow ? I have to wonder how up scaleable this will be pipe diameter wise ?

I take it this would not be a practical technology at least in current form for large scale water transportation because the pressure forces I'm guessing grow exponentially or something as you scale up? At least on a practical level? Like first I'm thinking well what if you built a big one of these underground so that solid Rock was helping contain the pressure, and then I was thinking about don't they need insanely high pressure containment capabilities for like fusion reactors? So I'm sure you could build one of these that could deliver thousands of gallons per second or something, it just might be fucking ridiculous as far as the engineering requirements. Actually theoretically you could probably figure out where all the pressure spikes are in this I don't know? I'm just starting to learn about how all this works

They recently found out that the Egyptian Pyramids feature this pump inside. They assume they pumped water up from the Nile to transport the blocks.

Why is it not used for renewable energy? You could easily attach a turbine at the end after it exits the pipe without sacrificing pressure

I own a country home in Colombia, where myself and all the surrounding residents, draw water from a nearby creek, with gas or diesel engine powered pumps, that sends the water through a
pipe, to our holding tanks. I'm wondering if you know how I'd be able to get a smaller system like this, for my community?

I wonder if they'll get the egyptian pyramid ram pump working again. Probably not. They'd have to rebuild the retaining wall and divert the water again. Im not sure if its geographically capable of acting as a ram pump again.

Why not have a closed system with turbines on the way down to capture electricity and a bunch of ram pumps at the bottom to pump it back up stream?

imagine if you could do this at a larger scale that uses just enough water from a river to keep it flowing and its ecosystem alive...
oh yeah, the great pyrimids may have done just that, using the nile river...

This would be great for the Panama Canal. Installing multiple pumps to return water back up to the lake, it can help reduce the amount of water being removed. used in combination with the Wirtz pump, and hydro generation, it can push up lots of water up the locks to refill the Panama canal lakes.
