Don't expect people to know how to drive in rain. Any amount of rain someone's getting into accident.
ОтветитьMe, looking for videos of my old home: ;-; I recognize that building... 😭 God I miss it
ОтветитьNice place to visit, if you live there, don't leave anything outside. You'll lose potted plants, yard furniture, bicycles or anything whether valuable or not.
ОтветитьPacific Beach. PB= Protect Bicycles if you want to keep it! Locks dont make a difference
ОтветитьI wish San Diego was the same as when I lived there. It looks like they went blue, and it's ruined now. It used to be the only area that did really well in the state during an economic downturn. Oh, memories. I guess that's where they belong...in the past 😢
ОтветитьNo Zonies, but welcome to SD everyone else!
ОтветитьMy mom's sister lives in San Diego its a nice city
ОтветитьI live in San Diego, and this is a great video with accurate advice. I recommend for hiking going to Cowles Mountain in Mission Trails Regional Park. Cowles Mountain summit is the highest point in San Diego, and offers amazing views of the city.
I also recommend San Diego Botanical Gardens in Encinitas which is about a 30 min drive north of Balboa Park.
45 minutes to the mountains??!! Maybe around Alpine. Try 2 hours if you want to got Julian.
ОтветитьThe Museum of Man has now been changed to “The Museum of Us” because feminists complained about the name (and trying to get them to understand that “Man” doesn’t mean “males” here but in short for “mankind” probably just led to accusations of “mansplaining.”)
It’s not a joke, this really happened.
The most San Diego thing is sitting in traffic on a seven lane freeway going between zero and ten miles an hour. Love living here but paradise has its down sides. Make sure you bring lots of money.
ОтветитьDON’T be from Arizona
ОтветитьActually, our san diego vacation as a whole, is very expensive, at least for me. Family of 6 for 7 night with airfare is costing us about 12k in october 2024. 🤮
ОтветитьDon't pass by a barber shop without getting a haircut.
ОтветитьEat mexican food, go to the beach, a brewery and catch a game at petco park
Go up i5 to LA for night life that doesnt exist in SD
If you plan it right and know what you want to do, the trolley can be totally helpful.
ОтветитьSorry, but your video has absolutely nothing different than other 20 videos about SD. It all starts with Old town and boy, that's really boring .. Wish you the best in your next videos
ОтветитьYou remind me jon riggs
ОтветитьI was born in San Diego in 1961 never left but I've lived in Alpine since 1970. Downtown San Diego with possibly the exception I'm a Little Italy, that we basically just called India Street, is not my city anymore. It is completely designed for college students and convention goers. There are very very few places in San Diego or Pacific Beach that I feel even welcomed in. Partly because the clubs don't offer a senior night. I truly do miss my little sleepy naval and fishing town.
ОтветитьLaguna Beach was the best.
ОтветитьTry walking around Lajolla? Cops will chase you out of the neighborhoods! They claimed they have sensors in the sidewalks+street! I wasn’t allowed to walk around after parking!!! Said they were going to arrest me if I didn’t get out of the area!!!
ОтветитьAnzo Borriega zoo is east of San Diego. SALTON Sea is worth a visit!
ОтветитьNot if you’re walking.
ОтветитьAre there homeless?
ОтветитьDon’t forget to visit Old Town also a great place lots of Mexican Food Mariachi music and the haunted Whaley House
ОтветитьNumber 22 don’t get old town San Diego mixed with old town National City
ОтветитьOne thing that isn’t mentioned is the tragic epidemic of homelessness and drug use that is striking most Californian cities.
The East Village in San Diego is particularly bad with tents everywhere. Californian property is incredibly expensive, pushing people, even the elderly into the streets. It’s now more than 10,000.
East Village is not far from the Gas Light Quarter.
Traffic is awful in afternoons!
ОтветитьPSA the zoo’s aren’t worth your money or time. Stick to Coronado, La Jolla, mission bay and downtown. Eat a lot of food
ОтветитьIf you get lost hiking, hug a tree SD Sheriff's SAR Teams will find you safe.
ОтветитьWest/Coast #1
Ответить#1 DON’T: Don’t forget to go home! Especially you L.A. heads. 😄
ОтветитьThe main one... Don't visit San Diego. And definitely don't compare San Diego with Los Angeles, Los Angeles is better.🤣
ОтветитьI can tell this dude isn’t from SD haha thanks for the love though.
ОтветитьMark, you said San Diego has lots of crap beer?! 😂😅
ОтветитьI’m going to be moving to San Diego in May in super excited!
Ответить15 minute drives becoming 2 hours is a bit of an exaggeration. Maybe in the most extreme cases when there’s a bad accident. More common to see a 20 minute drive become 35-45 minutes during rush hour. But your point still stands avoid rush hour.
ОтветитьI grew up in Coronado and it's always funny to hear what folks say. 😂
ОтветитьI know this video is five years old, but I would take issue with using the trolley. It gets you close to many of the attractions that visitors like to see. From South to North, these popular destinations are served by the lines indicated (Green Line or Blue Line):
San Ysidro Border Crossing - Blue
Barrio Logan Cultural District - Blue
Petco Park - Green (and Blue at the 12th and Imperial Transit center a few blocks away)
Gaslamp Quarter - Green
Convention Center - Green
Seaport Village - Green
Santa Fe Depot - Green and Blue with access to: USS Midway, San Diego Maritime Museum, Harbor and Whale Watching Cruises, Coronado Ferry; Transfer to the 215 Rapid Bus to Balboa Park and San Diego Zoo; Amtrak and Coaster trains
Little Italy - Green and Blue
Old Town Transit Center - Green and Blue with free Flyer shuttle to the airport and Old Town State Historic Park
Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala - Green
Snapdragon Stadium - Green
SDSU - Green
UCSD - Blue (new extension all the way to University Towne Center)
Riding is easy and inexpensive ($6 day pass) if you download the Pronto app for your phone or do a one-time purchase of a Pronto card ($2 for the card).
What were the dunes you mentioned ?
ОтветитьSmoking cannon brewery
ОтветитьAs a local one great place for craft beer and just an overall good time in Smoking Cannon in Brewery, it’s a little bit of a drive from San Diego or maybe you’re staying a little further from San Diego in Escondido or Poway it’s a little bit of a drive, but Ramona especially is a great place to be good food And like I was saying smoking in Brewery has a bunch of craft beer that is made right there local on Ramona. also, if you’re staying in Escondido and want to try shooting for the first time, look up Escondido fish and games association.
ОтветитьDamn it's so weird watching tourism videos about my home city. Of everyone I've met in my life I've known very very few who live at the beach and only a few who even like the beach, yet that's the main thing about San diego for tourists.
ОтветитьI came in by Amtrak, from Oklahoma.
Got off at old Town Station, Got a motel 2 blocks away in the mission District.
Used Yelp to find Mexican food... 2 5srar restaurants, one expensive and one cheap, " Hmm, 🤔 I could afford a taxi to the cheap one, for that price difference."
I was right across the street from my hotel.😂
Another tip: don't forget about the one way streets in the gaslamp district smh, we have bad enough drivers here as is please don't add to that lol
ОтветитьI've lived in San Diego for almost 50 years. I commute to work every day, a drive that years ago took approximately 15 minutes, now can take about 45 minutes in rush hour traffic, maybe a bit more on some days. There's traffic from the Mexico border, Coronado bridge & Mission Valley to contend with. The commute is primarily a freeway/highway route. I have never sat in 2 hour traffic, not even when there's been an accident. I leave an hour early and I am almost always on time to work. If I wasn't, I would have been fired years ago. The traffic is much worse than it used to be, however, it's not generally at a standstill like some parts of the country.
ОтветитьThe San Diego Trolley goes to Old Town, La Jolla, East County, Tijuana, Chula Vista, Little Italy, and soon it will be going to San Diego International Airport.
ОтветитьThe "park" part of Balboa Park is across the bridge that goes over the freeway (Rte 163).
ОтветитьYou completely forgot PRIDE Comic con is fun but you forgot us
ОтветитьWow! So much helpful info in just 15 minutes! Thank You!
