I wonder if Charles Spencer sees himself as acting as a mediator between Harry and his father, knowing that Harry's legal fights have made it difficult for the King to interact with him. Harry definitely displays the Spencer traits with his tendency toward impulsivity, arrogance and drama. There is a reason why Charles Spencer has so many ex-wives and, perhaps with Harry's lack of foresight, that may be what's ahead for him.

Hazno may now feel that he was better off when he was a real part of the RF, and want to be back in with them, but I can foresee that if he were allowed back, his happiness to be within the fold would not last. Before long, he would be complaining again, the jealousy towards William is still present, and he would never be satisfied playing second fiddle (not that I believe for one second that he would ever regain his former place as a working Royal!) or watching William as he deals with the other world leaders. I cannot see him reforming, or being grateful for the privilege that he has, and has always had.

Charles Spencer is as bad as harry using Diana when he needs positive PR. Not a gentleman.

I daresay none of Charles Spencer's actual children spent Christmas with him. Maybe he thinks entertaining Harry gives him some leverage, but the aristocracy has no power anymore. It's not as if he can raise an army against the King these days. What a sad man, his girlfriend is suing his wife. I'm sure this is the last straw for his children.

This reading shows what a despicable person he is. He should have been with his own family, celebrating Christmas with his two ghost children, not traveling to the UK trying to get some good times in with old friends and relatives. He is not a bachelor, but a 40 year old married man with children! He is very self-centered!
