Hi Tony - nice! We know you love these highly optioned Lincolns. The blue leather is fantastic. Good choice. I'll enjoy seeing you working on it 👍🏼
ОтветитьHappy for you on your find, Tony.
Ответить🤗CONGRATS TONY 🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьI wish all the Town cars came with that style Coach lights, they look light years better than the standard coach lights, That's a real beautiful Car Tony, you guys scored big time and i like the Pipes!!!
ОтветитьNice color combination.
ОтветитьThat’s interesting, the I want to stay GM style opera lamp 82 98 Regency, 86-90 Caprice Classic LS…. But I can’t say that 100% the 80 Cougar XR-7 with the Luxury Group had that same tall narrow lamp. The 82-89 Chrysler New Yorker had that that same slender coach/opera lamp. I really want to add an 80-82 Cougar XR-7 Luxury group or 80-83 Mark VI with two tone paint in my collection. Especially the white with red either bodystyle…. Lovely car Tony .. I’m jealous as hell.
ОтветитьCurious.... What kind of mileage what's on the odometer when you bought it? I just recently found a 1990 Mercury Marquis was 54,000 miles on it, interior looks brand new, Florida car with no rust however the clear coat is coming off on one corner. Thanks for sharing your latest acquisition with us viewers.
ОтветитьThat is a beautiful Lincoln!! Congrats!
ОтветитьBeautiful car, a car that you can actually enjoy and drive when it’s dry outside, and you don’t have to be afraid of using it, and a fun trip to Kentucky, sometimes you have to stop and look back and realize you are a living some of the best moments of your life, when that car was new, you were 21years old, probably struggling to get started in life-like most people that age, now the car is 35 years old, and you’re 56 years old, both in good shape, many more years ahead of enjoyment
ОтветитьVery nice
ОтветитьJust fixed the A/C in my 88 crown vic, the compressor went, new compressor, accumulator, O tube, O rings
ОтветитьLooks a lot like the one my grandparents had. Same year, also a Signature Series, white with black roof. It’s been sitting for a few years and I may see if my uncle will sell me the car and me and a few of my friends will get it running good and looking nice again.
Edit: only difference between the one in this video and the one my grandparents had is that theirs had the analog cluster.
I'm not sure how you keep finding these older model classics but your peaking my interest in finding one for myself. lol
ОтветитьTony, Since this one already has every single option, it is a good thing it needs a few repairs. 😉
ОтветитьWow such a beatful car just beatful
ОтветитьBeautiful car Tony does not afraid to drive me late well you're going to drive the hell out of this one
ОтветитьYour town cars are all beautiful.! I will say that my favorite one is the pastel Adobe.!
ОтветитьHi Tony, thanks for the video. I’ve always loved the white with blue carriage roof…extremely sharp. You’re right, this seems to be fully loaded. I love the color matched body side molding, sun roof, and factory dual exhaust. My ‘88 signature has a factory sunroof and trailer pkg. w/ factory dual exhaust. I like to think I’m pretty knowledgeable about Lincoln’s but I was not aware of a Special Edition in ‘89…learned something new. At first I thought it was the “Stars and Stripes” edition but that was on ‘87. I liked that edition’s white leather with blue piping. In any event, that’s a beautiful car and congratulations on another great find!
ОтветитьCongratulations Tony on another fantastic Lincoln Town Car ! The dark blue carriage roof is stunning and identical to the one on my 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis 50th Anniversary edition. So glad to see your folks out and about with you for your new purchase. I just returned Sunday from a 500 mile round trip to visit the Battleship New Jersey BB - 62 in Camden. I went down with my 1991 Ford Crown Victoria LX wagon as we brought down an extensive collection of Proceedings magazines I accumulated since 1981 when I joined the U.S. Naval Institute and thought it was too much for the Mercury. I was getting compliments and thumbs up for it every where we went including down town Philadelphia. Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьSo let me get this straight.... your Mom and Dad ended up with two replacement cars for the one that they wrecked and now this one is your second one? I see nothing wrong with this, just trying to get it all straight in my head. Lol. I never paid any attention to these until I started seeing you showcase them. I'm getting impressed with them.
ОтветитьI have the dealer brochure for the 1989 town car but it never referenced the special edition. From your video it looks as though there was a separate brochure.
ОтветитьThey're going to run out of '89 Town Cars for you to buy! 😉
Nice car...I didn't know about this Special Edition. Great that it has the factory CD player.
I love that blue interior...we had an '88 LSC bought new with that color interior, and was Dark Shadow Blue outside. I would love to have another just like it.
Congrats 🥂
Congrats on the purchase. It looks good on the inside( digital gauges) and it looks grand for what your purchased. It was good seeing you check things out and more as well before the purchase. I do not know how you find nice Town Cars, but you do.
ОтветитьOh Tony! How exciting! I agree with you on having one that’s not perfect, that your not afraid to drive and something happen, a scratch or ding. That’s how I am with my 79, it nice but no show car and I’m not afraid to drive it.
ОтветитьOh no! What's Adam gonna say about this one???
ОтветитьEnjoyed this video and the in-car footage and, as always, the commentary. These Town Cars are beautiful and so smooth. The blue leather seats in the Signature Series look very comfortable.
Ответитьa friend of the family had a 72 Lincoln 2 dr with dark blue leather. I liked it, it seemed like the perfect color for a quiet, restful car. Your new car reminds me of that, it's beautiful.
ОтветитьTony. I LOVE it. Definitely a keeper. I like the dual exhaust too. 👍
Ответитьlove it love it - i have to say i do like plain white on these cars and a matching roof and interior
Ответитьi have never seen an opera light like that before - my grandparents had an 89 marquis with the regualar ones - and i love those things
ОтветитьMy 89 Lincoln town car guy nice car👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏾
ОтветитьMy dad bought a new Lincoln just like this one for my mother in 1989 for Christmas it was a beautiful car
ОтветитьDas ist ein ganz tolles Auto und ein sehr netter Verkäufer ❤️
ОтветитьI own new in 1989. Same color and package. I kelp till 1996 before I traded in on a new town car.
ОтветитьNow I want one before you buy all the 89s left! Just kidding it’s a beauty enjoy it!
ОтветитьHello Mr. Tony - Wow another great video & what a nice find on the Town Car! We really enjoyed all the pieces of the video with the initial inspection, comments on options and the drive back. Plus it was great to see your mom & dad as they are so cool. I know you mentioned it needs some work. We are all a work in progress, nothing is perfect. Whatever you spend or time you invest, it will be less expensive than buying a new car today and Mr. Tony will end up with a fun to drive reliable vehicle. P.S. We are so glad you liked some of the treats from the HF trip. Take good care. Roseann & Dan
ОтветитьNice looking. I remember back in high school when my one Uncle bought a new 77 Town car. It drove like you were on a cloud. My other Uncle had bought a used 87 Town car in the early 90’s. My opinion was the 77 rode much better. Your comment at the end about what the lady said of your Moms car had me on the floor LOL!
ОтветитьAnother beauty indeed! Love the way your Mom has no trouble manipulating that phone!
ОтветитьThe most beautiful “ugly outdated piece of shit” I’ve ever seen! 😂
ОтветитьYou know your Lincolns
ОтветитьA very nice buy, Tony! A few things to consider: one of the reasons that there is a large discrepancy between the order date and the build date could be that Lincoln announced the special edition to the dealer much earlier than they scheduled the beginning of production. (They do that a lot these days with Mustang special editions!) Another: the way the data for options is encoded, I think that Kevin and team just call things out that are specially noted. Note that on the actual Marti Report, these items are listed as "features", not options. Said "features" are usually options, but not always. For example, if a particular car had a standard vinyl roof, the vinyl roof and color would be called out in that section.
ОтветитьCongratulations !!! She's a beauty !!! <<Mark in Ohio>>
ОтветитьThanks for sharing this adventure with us! Love the loaded Special Edition! You will do wonders with it!
ОтветитьThat is so so cool!!!!
ОтветитьYou sure your not a lincoln dealership?? 🤪🤪 If so i need to get down and buy ah car!!!
ОтветитьHe sure knew where to park. lol
ОтветитьPipes are totally fine
Ответитьi love the dual exhaust
