Hey Scott, I booked my flight and will be in Nicaragua 2-14 January! I'm super excited and scared at the same time. And I have lived many years abroad already (in Finland, and 1 year in the US) 😵‍💫

Of all the common negative listings for staying in Nicaragua: no one says, “I didn’t like the people”.
Money is obviously paramount to a relocation decision, but I put the Nicas are my primary reason to move. I want to surround myself with good people.

You said that you can use dollars in this video but in your "San Juan del Sur for Digital Nomads" video you said that you need to use cordoba. Which is it?

Stop using the word EXPAT. It's so racist that everytime I hear a Usonian say it makes me gag. You are just immigrants. Regardless of how long you are staying you are an IMMIGRANT! Y'all just invented that word to no be associated with the negative view you have of immigrants. Stop it.

I do not want a storage unit, unless it is portable and I do not have to see it ever again except for delivery to my door in my new country. And I think perhaps to purchase my shipping container, so that I can take my time unloading it. I can relate to that, not wanting to have a crew and trucks or not being able to work on it for more than a few hours at a time. Can I load my shipping container myself? Or with a friend to help?

So what sort of "foundation" does a shipping container need? 4 cinder blocks? Does it ever need repainting? Does it need an overhang roof?

What do you think of Ecuador?
