if asked...the poor man ...to give all his possessions up ...would he ...would this help bring the ones who are rich to forgiveness, repentances, a flipped table lesson...

That’s a profound and challenging thought. The question of a poor person giving up all their possessions echoes themes of sacrifice and faith, reminding me of the story in Mark 12:41-44, where the poor widow gave all she had—a striking act of trust and devotion.

In contrast, the lesson for the rich lies not only in seeing this act but in understanding the heart behind it: humility, dependence on God, and love over material wealth. A "flipped table lesson," as you put it, could indeed be a powerful symbol to spark repentance and reflection among the wealthy. It reveals that true riches are not in accumulation but in surrendering and aligning one's life with divine purpose.

The challenge, though, is that such lessons depend on open hearts willing to see and embrace truth. What do you think it would take for such a lesson to inspire true transformation in those who have much?

It’s two years today that my dad got called home to be with the Lord. Even though I’m brokenhearted, encumbered by emotions….you are holy Lord! Even in my weakness I cry out to you! We need you! Save us!
