Thank you for making this video!!!! I saw some of your previously video and was really hoping you will share more about TESU. And YEAHHHHHHH!
ОтветитьHow are the class over Thomas Edison ? As in testing ? Multiple choice to project ?
ОтветитьDoes the Bachelor of Arts in this degree hold any difference? Also, is there a Sophia transfer list for tesu anywhere ? I have a bunch of classes done there
ОтветитьHey Alex, thanks for breaking it all down so simply. I've been reading DegreeForum to try to figure out how getting a CS degree from TESU would work, but your video explains it really well.
ОтветитьCan you make a video on the comp science degree from UMPI?
Ответитьcan you help me get a computer science degree from tesu. I already register with tesu. I have no college credits. Im starting from scratch. I can email you over the classes they accept to help me map out a plan. I can pay as well for your time
ОтветитьHey Alex, do you know if TESU CS degree is ABET accredited ?
ОтветитьI had some of the same thoughts. I don't like how easy WGU was for my cybersecurity degree and I think in the future it is going to be seen as a diploma mill. I want to go back to school since I cant get hired anywhere and get a Computer Science degree. I really regret doing the Cybersecurity degree. I am still unsure about WGU vs. TESU but I am leaning towards TESU.
ОтветитьHey Alex , Thank you for your effort to make this video. I am trying to get into Cloud Computing. I have two years degree science. Do you suggest the flat tuition or per credit? and are the class exams similar to WGU?
thank you
I know WGU has state accreditation and is completely legitimate, but I'm kind of worried about it becoming a meme from so many people speed running their degrees. Glad there are alternatives.
ОтветитьDid you take the 3 courses at TESU in the same semester? Like did you take both the Information Literacy and Capstone simultaneously
ОтветитьEdit: i just saw your pin comment. It looks like im still going to need 120 credits total. Some from Sophia, study, etc. And hopefully only 2 or 3 from TESU. Could you possibly look over my transcript and help me create a list of classes that i dont have to take and which classes i can take elsewhere(sophia). Its late i should go to bed soon. Lol
I will have a AS in Computer Science in a few weeks, it will be around 60 credits. I want to know how many classes i will have to take at TESU ...
I’ll have to see how much quicker I can graduate here vs WGU, I can transfer in 90 at WGU and my associates actually covered some of the core classes, it would take 1 semester to finish the bachelors, but if I can transfer in extra gen ed credits and just do 2 or 3 classes at TESU I may be able to have the degree in a matter of weeks instead of 6 months. I’m really hoping UMPI makes a yourpace BS CS by the end of 2024
ОтветитьMaybe it is off-topic, but how is the course structure and quality of the materials? Since I have zero background, I don't want to purely speed-run a degree, but I also don't want to pay $35k for the 2-year OSU post-bacc program. I know self-study is essential, but how would you rate the teaching? How much would finishing TESU in 1.5 or 2 years help me learn, or is the degree just for speed-running? I've heard many people go to Georgia Tech's OMSCS from there. They probably have previous industry experience, but do the professors write reference letters?
ОтветитьDo you think the CS program at TESU is beginner friendly?
ОтветитьIs Thomas Edison allow international students to do this degree.
ОтветитьWhat classes would you advice someone to take before Date Structure and before Computer Architecture? Is there an email one can reach you if possible? Thanks
ОтветитьHi, any advice for students outside of US?
Ответитьwhat's their grading system, is 1 their highest?
ОтветитьThank you for all the info I apply, I got a bunch of CS credits and they accept 90 of my credits let me with just 30 to graduate 10 courses. I would like to ask you some questions if you can guide me. Hopefully you got some time
ОтветитьHi Alex, thank you so much for the awesome content. I have 47 units at Santa Monica College from 20 years ago (Business Major).
Could you possibly look over at my transcript and help me select another 13 units of classes that would be beneficial for completing my associate degree there, and at the same time to be useful for transferring at TESU aiming at Computer Science degree? I'll be more than happy to pay you for the information. I really like the idea that I can accumulate up to 114 units outside of TESU. Thanks!!
Hello, I just finished your WGU Software Engineering Degree Walk-through, and it got me thinking, what would be a better way to go in my case. As I mentioned below in my previous comment, the fact that I have 47 units at Santa Monica College makes me lean towards TESU Computer. On the other hand, WGU Software Engineering Degree would be easier choice at least in my opinion. I really don't know, what would you do in my situation? Thanks!
ОтветитьI just had the capstone to do for this over 8 months ago. I held off to try to get the Biology concentration as well, but gave it up. I'm just doing the capstone now.
ОтветитьI would love to see a video about political science a TESU I have some college credits and want to take Sophia courses as well.
ОтветитьIs there a way to finish classes faster here?
ОтветитьThey dont take sophia courses?
Ответитьso if I have 22 credits from my old school + taking capstone and 2 other courses from TESU total of 9 credits my total would be 31 credits I can take the rest of ACE credits?
ОтветитьWhat you think about excelsiorr university computer science degree?
ОтветитьHey Alex, would you recommend doing Programming in Python first or Computer Science 109? I finished all my general ed courses. No prior programing experience. Thanks for any advice.
ОтветитьHey guys, just want to clarify you CAN transfer in 114 credits and do just Information Literacy and the Capstone at TESU. You can do this by taking the Software Engineering ACE Course from Saylor. Although, sometimes they accept it and sometimes they don’t. TESU is sometimes not consistent, depending who’s evaluating. They will not accept Study’s Software Engineering course (they will, but as an elective).
While you can technically transfer in 114 credits, 24 of those transfer credits MUST be from a 2 or 4 year university, and you will have to be required to pay TESU’s $3300 Residency Waiver.
TESU is one of the ONLY schools in the country that allows this many transfer units. 90 is the standard among all schools including WGU.
I personally completed 9 credits at TESU, the two required courses, and Software Engineering.
Feel free to ask me about anything.
