Really enjoying your videos! I’ve lived in Seoul a few years now and always learn something new
ОтветитьThanks again for the personal tour, Korean history and language lesson! I can almost follow your Korean conversation at 1.25X without relying too much on the subtitles, so I think my Korean's improving :)
ОтветитьThanks for all your efforts in producing another great informative video. Regards
ОтветитьAnother superb video! You really captured the awesome diversity of the trail. So now that you've hiked the entire course, if you were to attempt the entire loop in one day, where would you choose to start? When I did it, I started at Dongdaemun and in retrospect I'm not sure if that was the best strategy. I'm not as experienced of a hiker as you guys, but the climb up Namsan was already challenging to me, so after expending all that energy you can imagine how much I struggled facing those seemingly endless stairs in sections of courses 4 and 1. Maybe I should've done those at the start when I was fresh, but then again, having to do the Namsan climb at the tail end of the hike would be pretty tough for me too. Anyway, thanks for this great video and stirring up my desire to visit Seoul again!
ОтветитьProps for hiking in the heat! 🌞 Such an interesting trail. Thanks for sharing it with us. I hope to complete it one day. 😊
Stay safe during the rainy season! 💦💜🍀
❤😊
Ответить할말이 없다 국내 1위 유튜버! I hope I will utilise all great info from your videos, I am going to Korea next month. 전 한국어를 열심히 공부해 놓았어요. 화이팅!
ОтветитьI've seen sections of the wall over the years and as you mentioned, never really put together the big picture of how they were related. Thanks for another excellent adventure!
ОтветитьFollowing this historic wall while venturing into the local neighborhoods, restaurants, and shops would be a great way to experience Seoul.
Ответить🙇
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьIts a shame Doota mall and the rest of Dongdaemun open shopping area is losing popularity. There was something about that place that had appeal and made it special. Newer malls are fancier but seem sterile and cookie cutter.
Ответитьthat's good stuff! My wife and I will do that in October/November... someday soon.
ОтветитьThe lady at the restaurant bluntly commenting on your hair style is so Korean. That would be considered extremely rude in the US. I reunited with my Korean friends few months ago in LA after 25 years apart. It took me a while for me to get used to them commenting on my hair, teeth, and my clothing choices. Thanks for the great videos.
ОтветитьI recently discovered this channel while I was watching videos to prepare for my year-long study abroad term in Seoul, South Korea, and it’s been really helpful with helping decide what I might or might not be interested in over there. I went there for a month last year during the summer and admittedly wasted my time there because I was too scared to go out and discover Seoul by myself, so this channel is a HUGE help!
ОтветитьSo awesome meeting you two on the streets of Seoul. Keep up the good work!
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video. It brings back my memories from my trip to Seoul last year in may. We did the city wall hike as well and it actually was the best part for us and made me fall in love with this City.
ОтветитьLoved this series 😊
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьWow 👀beautiful views ..🏅for the tour in 30ty degrees.. enjoyed watching..👍💟
ОтветитьAs many times as I've been up to the tower, how did I not know about that Cinnabon up there? I know what I'm doing tomorrow.
ОтветитьThanks for your vedios
I liked them because they talk about the hotels in all seoul
And even I been around south Korea more than you I am sure I been almost 125 times in 15 years
I like the vedios because you mentioned the luv hotels and 90% dirty floors and rooms and the sounds all over the floors
I really like your videos; you seem like really nice people. I was inspired by your Seoul walls video to do a hike on the walls when I go to Korea. Thanks for making nice content, very relaxing and authentic.
ОтветитьI walked the city wall trail last summer in three days. starting at the the eastern gate heading south first. unfortunatley I couldnt find any of the map-stamps stations. Also I got lost at the Banyan Tree Hotel and had to walk a huge detour to get back on track. I ended up doing the namsan part of the trail at night which was a wonderful experience. Best parts were the mountains in the north. I think I am going to walk the whole wall again when I get the chance. Highly recommend this trail.
ОтветитьI am so impressed that you are doing all this hiking in the summer. I went up 설악산 at the end of July and after an hour, I went right back down. It was just way too hot and humid to keep going. I always call N. Seoul Tower Namsan Tower. I know it changed a long time ago, but I never understood why it changed.
Ответить매우 훌륭한 콘텐츠....감사합니다...서울을 꼼꼼히 여행하는 여정이네요...한국관광공사에서 상 줘야 할듯해요.. 화이팅
ОтветитьKoreas landscape is so beautiful!
ОтветитьGreat video Matt and Yujin…picture quality off the charts on my big screen tv; what camera are you using by the way?
ОтветитьI have watched various people's videos but this is the first time I've commented on anyone's. I lived in Korea in 2006-09 and 205-16 and visited in Dec 2022-Jan 2023 and have walked most of this. In 2023 I walked from Dongdaemun to Namdaemun but not following the wall on a cold and clear day, half of Inwangsan on a cold and lightly cloudy day and Hyehwamun to Iwha on a cold and clear day. I recognised large parts of this. I still have the remainder of Inwangsan and Bugaksan, the south-east portion, and the south-west portion (where there's not much of the wall left). Walking the whole trail would mean large amounts of retracing steps. I walk slowly because I look at everything and take many photos, so I would allow three days rather than two.
Ответитьyou both are so informative....and smart! Thank you Both!!
ОтветитьGreat job again!
ОтветитьAt the hilly park just before coming to the Dongdaemun gate, there is a Seoul City Wall museum, which at least used to be free of charge. Can serve as a good rest stop along the route with cool history to learn. The address is 283, Yulgok-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
