In your video you mention intensity 1 is equal to 12.5mA.

Then in the guide you recommend intensity 1-2, “4-8mA should be fine”.

If intensity 1 is 12.5mA with this device, how would you possibly set it between 4 and 8mA?

I don’t see where it tells you the level of intensity that you’re at? It beeps when I turn it on but no level shows up- I don’t know ho high to turn it? If you feel anything what does it feel like? I don’t seem to feel anything with my ear clips

Hi, what's the difference between clips that have electrodes on both arms compared to the ones shown in this video? Is functionality the same? Is effectiveness the same? Thank you.

If TENS 7000 only goes as low as 12.5mA and the recommendation is 4-8mA, how is it suitable for this purpose? I can't feel it at all at a setting of "1" but that's still far higher than what is recommended.

Are you sure that 1 = 12.5mA? Maybe 1 = 1mA, as there's no way to go lower?

Has this actually worked on any of your patients? Using the TENS 7000? If level 1 intensity is already 12 mA, then this is already too much current than what's used in research.

Hi, are there any contra indications to using tens? Is it safe in neuro rehab for vagus stimulation?

Hello Doctor, device clinically approved like parasym use biphasic symmetrical wave while a lot of others use biphasic asymmetrical. Is this making a huge difference for the vagus nerve treatment ? I've heard something like nerve regeneration appears only with symmetrical waves. What is your opinion/experience ?

Hi Dr. Groysman - thank you for these instructions. I'm following your protocol for vagus nerve stimulation with the TENS 7000. I've been doing this daily for approximately 20 to 25 minutes per day. After the first week, I started getting twitching on my eye lid. The first time it occurred was while I had the TENS unit on and clipped to my ear. Now, about once a day, I get about 10 seconds of eye lid twitching. Does this indicate it's not safe for me?

Your 12.5 ma minimum can easily fry your vagus nerve. Usually you start to feel stimulation at around 3, which, according to your information, comes out to 37.5 ma. This is incorrect information.

I'd be grateful if anyone could comment whether the Alpha-stim Aid be used in the same way. It has earclips that are usually used bilaterally to each earlobe but could be applied to the tragus and earlobe. Here is what the manual states in terms of current etc:
CURRENT: 0 to 500 microamperes (µA), +/- 5%, adjustable in 50 µA increments. When load is 1KΩ, maximum output current is 525 µA (waveform amplitude is 525 mV) and minimum output current is 475 µA (waveform amplitude is 475 mV).

FREQUENCY: 0.5 Hz (pulses per second) combined with a constant 0.4 Hz. The average pulse repetition rate is 0.8 Hz.

PULSE WIDTH: Varying between 0.25, 0.5, 0.75 and 1 second.

CHARGE PER PULSE: At 500 µA the charge per pulse varies between 125, 250, 375 and 500 microcoulombs (µC). Every 10 seconds the total charge is 1.25 millicoulombs (mC) in each direction.

WAVE FORM: The impedance range within which the waveform parameters remain valid are from 100 Ω to 10 KΩ. The waveform is composed of bipolar asymmetric rectangular waves at a 50% duty cycle repeating periodically at 10 second intervals. The waveform is balanced to achieve 0 net current in either direction.

Thank you so much for this information! Do you have any links to when to attach the the Tragus versus the Concha? My daughter will be using it for long Covid and LPCVS Long post Covid vaccine syndrome with POTS so I think that was the Tragus. Whereas I plan on trying it for depression and I think this is the Concha. I assume different parts stimulate for different conditions. Thanks again!

The Tens 7000 that is made made by Everyway Medical (not sure if all Tens7000 are the same as that is just what the Americans call that model) is biphasic it’s just that the cables they supply makes it feel like one electrode is stronger than the other! Try a different cable and this little baby will crank out the volts nice and evenly 😊

The prongs on my brand new dual ear clip do not fit snuggly onto my brand new TENS 7000 unit, They slide out w/ slighest movements, and don't/won't stay in when I'm sitting up; I must be laying down, & even then, w/slight head movement, the prongs slide out (regardless if on tragus or other sites). How can I remedy this, other than returning them, does anyone know?➡I am so needing to get started on trying this for ME➡as saw videos by OT for whom it has greatly helped w/many sx, but it can take a few months for cummulative effects. (& 🥺 I just received them after 3rd party shipper used in US took 3 weeks to deliver them --they were in shipper's Nevada wharehouse for 10 days, waiting for enough items to fill truck b4 were sent to their NYwharehouse where waited again for, days to be sent to Boston--might be better to order from England...but now have concerns, given misfit of prongs to clips--the US distributor of the clips may be counterfitter of original design company) Thanks❣

Why choose TENS 7000 over more expensive units like the Parasym or Gammacore? What is the advantage of using these considerably more expensive devices?

Also, why is it that 150-200 us and 15-30 hz is the sweet spot for stimulating the vagus nerve?

Thanks Dr. Is it normal to feel "buzzed", sort of on edge feeling after doing this? I've done it for 15 mins past 2 days, 25 and 200 settings. Also it it safe to try the right side instead of left?
Thanks.
