That's a tip for data encoders 🤣.
ОтветитьWait, you have a mouse?
ОтветитьL advise
ОтветитьTrust me moving from keyboard to mouse is not what is eating away my time.
ОтветитьWhy do you speak like that..like a narcissistic teenage girl
ОтветитьTell me you’re a wannabe programmer without telling me you’re a wannabe programmer
ОтветитьThe 5 hours i spend typing is nothing compared to the days it takes for me to fix a simple bug 😢
ОтветитьInstructions unclear, im stuck, how do i exit vim?
ОтветитьIt only works if you haven't been much time working with extensive GUI usage, as you would need more time trying to get use to every keyboard shortcut when you move to using things like Vim. After all, the older you get the harder is to learn new things, or even replace what you've already learned.
ОтветитьWhat’s Vim?
ОтветитьRemember to wear a diaper as well 😣I forbid you to waste time getting up to use a toilet. Diapers are Optimal efficiency!
ОтветитьIt is not that serious......
ОтветитьHOW DO I CLOSE VIM????
ОтветитьAs a programmer, a great way to go fast is not wasting time learning a new set of hotkeys and shortcuts every week. A trick is using icons whenever you see them.
ОтветитьNo
ОтветитьLol
ОтветитьIf your IDE has a save icon, you're doing it wrong.
ОтветитьThis is a bad advice, learning vim takes a lot of time and it won't pay off as much as this suggests
ОтветитьPeople think programmers just sit down and shit out lines of code like no tomorrow.
A lot of time is researching, having discussions coming up with test plans, reviewing code, reviewing tickets and lots of other things too.
These videos I feel are not awful but not great as good programmers need to write good readable code and document it. That's about it. Not using a mouse won't make you any better.
No one uses chrome
ОтветитьGuys, what do you do with those extra 2 seconds you save by not touching the mouse?
ОтветитьIt's not only about time, but mental capacity for me. Subconsciously I use more mental drain to navigate with thr mouse than keyboard and get exhausted much quicker with the mouse.
ОтветитьGatekeeper
ОтветитьMy colleague tried learning Vim two years ago.
As a result he lost his job, lost his house, lost his family... And still he cannot exit Vim.
First learn programming then do this shit
ОтветитьMy problem is that I have a 60% keyboard, I have to use fn for arrow keys
ОтветитьMe who has been using my trackpad all this time: Interesting
ОтветитьHe knew we will use a mouse to dislike the video..
ОтветитьIf I learn vim then I have to learn how to exit Vim cus it's too good
ОтветитьWhy don't you learn how to flip bits with flowing air currents
ОтветитьMice are now banned at the company. All workers will now have their wrists tied to their keyboards.
ОтветитьAs software developer with 17 years of experience I could to say this is the dumbest thing I have heard.
ОтветитьI will never not click the save icon
ОтветитьJokes on you, I use autosave
Ответитьthank you for the tips
ОтветитьI am quite okay with my time being taken, I am not very okay with everyone's and server's time being taken , So I will sit back, relax and take a lot of time to write codes, that's the workflow I follow and I'd love to keep it that way.
ОтветитьDepends on the IDE. If you do game design you can forget about losing mouse. Also sublime text with the column editing using the mouse wheel button saves a ton of time
ОтветитьYou want me to trackpad? Are you insane!?!??!
ОтветитьAs a vim user i do also have a fun fact that is that if you don't actually use your mouse then there is 0% chance that you spill you coffee on your table 😂
ОтветитьThe speed you can code matters a 0.00000001% regarding how good you are as a programmer.
ОтветитьThe space is eating away on my time? A programmer is not a typing machine. Maybe this would be good advice for a shorthand writer but certainly not for a programmer. Software coding is 80% thought process, 10% reading process and 10% typing. Your advice doesnt sound like it comes from someone who knows the field.
ОтветитьUse vim😉
ОтветитьAs soon as you said "Get rid of your mouse" I was like "oh god... he's gonna recommend Vim"
ОтветитьOk but like the save button feels nice
Ответить"quality over quantity? What's that?"
ОтветитьOldschool logic,
ОтветитьOldschool logic,
Ответитьnext up we increase the productivity by removing the screen, since you waste time looking at it
Ответитьlearning vim wont teach you DSA
Ответить
