The progress achieved in the first 50 years of flight is truly amazing!
ОтветитьI watch till end amazing 😍😍😍
ОтветитьAbsolutely loved the video, but the looped jazz drove me crazy! How about add some blues, Sousa, or Hot Time In the Old Town Tonight?
ОтветитьDRIVING THROUGH WASH STATE...THE TREE STUMPS ARE STILL THERE...MINDLESS CUTTING...BUT THEN WAS MANUAL LABOR...YEARS AGO...I WORKED IN PHOENIX ON BELL ROAD...NEXT DOOR WAS AUTO REPAIR...A LOGGER FROM OREGON WAS THERE WORKING HIS MECHANICAL GENIUS ON CARS...HIS BUMPER STICKER SAID IT ALL..."NEXT TIME YOU NEED TOILET PAPER...USE A SPOTTED OWL!!!" SAD...THERE WAS NO SHORTAGE OF SPOTTED OWLS (AS IT TURNED OUT!!!)
Ответить👍
ОтветитьIncredible, thank you for sharing this video, very cool…the pilots who flew these machine had lotta guts..
ОтветитьCan't read that fast, other than that enjoyed vid, very interesting the way things were built in those days, real hands on !
ОтветитьTrue craftsman, a lost art to todays standards. CNC mills and computers have dumbed us down to a level not likely recoverable.
ОтветитьFantastic video quality for 1918. I’m amazed it survived.
ОтветитьFascinating however rather than the ethereal music better served in some jungle movie? I literally took off my ear phones because it was distracting from what was going with the film, probably better served to put a few words about the actual process like what type of spruce or what was the type of knot they were using to tie the linen to the wing frame? Some research into what you were showing would show some actual interest into this very fascinating topic and also important topic!
ОтветитьMy father had health problems so he was 4F and built airplane engines the entire war. 1942-45. That's why I'm a 1943 model.
ОтветитьLovely film, music a very distracting annoyance, especially the droning clarinet😢
ОтветитьMay I suggest different music than the out-of-time selection here? Early New Orleans jazz.......Modern Jazz Quartet......Jelly Roll Morton...any gently lilting jazz from the 1930's....any other suggestions?
ОтветитьInteresting to see that the roundels on the wings were applied as peel off stickers rather than painted. As today's stickers are made of flexible plastic, I wonder what material was used in those 1918 vintage ones.
ОтветитьWhere is the Black people here ....🤔🙄👍🇺🇸
ОтветитьPlease leave the text cards on the screen longer.
ОтветитьGreat film…!
Very strange soundtrack to put with the movie though …..! 👀
🎶Saturday night in Toronto🎶
🎶 Saturday night in Toronto🎶
🎶 Saturday night in Toronto🎶 Saturday night in Toronto🎶…. ( Repeat 200 times. )
Best watched on mute. The "music" is truly awful and inappropriate.
ОтветитьCan't read that fast 😢
ОтветитьSo many hats. So many ties.
The sound track is haunting.
What is the music?
The technology is both advanced and primitive. You can see the development trend that goes straight on to a Boeing 747!
ОтветитьQuite possibly the most poorly selected backing music ever. But...the visuals, of an era of hard working brilliance, make up for it. Mute ON...
ОтветитьThis music is Terrible!
ОтветитьFactory workers wore better clothes back in 1918. They look like white collar workers today. Interesting video, but horrible music.
ОтветитьThis is the same process as balsa builders.
Ответитьmusic is obnoxious...
ОтветитьVery interesting film. But a couple of notes. The worded captions need to be a lot longer so you can actually read them. The music choice is absolutely awful. I had it on mute throughout the whole video. A shame because it spoils what is otherwise a fantastic video
ОтветитьUnlike some of other commenters, I absolutely LOVE the soundtrack. I'd like to use it on a couple other videos I'm putting together. Any chance you can point me to to the originator?
ОтветитьI didn't know they had music like this in 1918. I like it!
ОтветитьWhere was this factory located?
ОтветитьGarbage music wao...
ОтветитьWhen I first became a pastor in the 1980s, there was an elderly woman in the congregation who had worked in the Bristol factory in England during World War 1. She had photographs of herself stitching fabric onto what I took to be a Bristol Fighter.
ОтветитьNeed more time to read these narratives
ОтветитьWow…what a gem of a video! 👍🏻👍🏻
ОтветитьThe USA industrial might is amazing,Only been in the war about 1 year and have built a huge plant with machinery and employing probably thousands and turning out warplanes like a sausage machine.
ОтветитьImagine working as a logger or sawmill operator during this era. The changes to come in only a few decades in the lumber industry was huge too. 30 years later airplanes were no longer wood airframes and air speeds were more than double what they were for WWI The speed of technology advancement was seemingly faster than anything else.
ОтветитьGreat video, not sure about the trippy jazz...
ОтветитьWith a name of “souper noodles”, I knew this was going to be interesting.
ОтветитьPlease explain your choice of music for this very interesting film.
ОтветитьGreat historical film, music sucks!
ОтветитьIrritating soundtrack, I can't take anymore of it
ОтветитьGood video except for the music
ОтветитьCan any living mortal sead it titles in a micro second
ОтветитьMusic is Don Cherry, Chenrezig, off the Brown Rice album.
ОтветитьVery good film of construction, but simply awful music!
ОтветитьCraftsmanship is incredible. Just silence would be great though. Thank you
ОтветитьBetter with sound off
ОтветитьIt's a shame to have to cut down beautiful trees to make weapons of war. Imagine if we lived in peace on the planet and everyone was kind to one another.
ОтветитьCrazy what amount of work went into the first planes from the tree being chopped down to it shooting own other trees..crazy.. music not matching up .booo
