I guess if had all the Vienna malt it would be a Vienna lager but who really cares in the end if the beer tastes great! Cheerz 🍻👍

Just brewed a Vienna Lager today! Trying out the new Novalager yeast from Lallemand too.
To the question on what makes a Vienna lager, if we look at the BJCP guide, Vienna lagers are usually Vienna malt based but CAN include pils or Munich malts so I wouldnt say the maris otter is completely out of place even though it's not pils specifically. They also say specialty malts can be used for color and sweetness so hey, that's a pass in my book!

All beer is good beer. Some are just better than others.

I don't get the whole no chill container thing. Why not just keep it in the boil kettle over night with the lid on, then rack it into the fermenter? Less risk of contamination in my book. But I'm still to make a no chill so... Just a thought.

Like Steve said, I would have subbed in some Freddy Prinze. I would have also used some Chico yeast.

I've noticed a pattern lately on videos released here......the cloths are the same in 2 or 3 videos in a row even though they are separated by a month, or more.

Even though I’ve gravitated towards cider brewing for space and convenience reasons, your videos and podcasts are so great! Love you both, keep up the great content, and I would love to send beer recommendations if you’re ever in Philadelphia!

Here we go again... I'm subscribed, and have clicked the notification bell. Yet I now realise that once again it's been a least a year since one of your videos has popped up in my feed.

You said because that was all the hops you did a no chill. Can you explain the correlation?
