Nah sorry I cant agree with a lot of this, Russia does not have any real right to any Ukrainian land including Crimea, there is absolutely no lawful reason for this. I can accept Russia may be feeling threatened by NATO and I have to agree NATO didn't keep its word regarding expansion from what I can see. However Russia and US didn't keep their agreement with Ukraine when they gave up their nuclear weapons either so the only party that has come out badly through little fault of their own is Ukraine. If you take putins historical stance then I'll be the US wouldn't give back Florida to France or Cuba if they decided to take it over with Russian backing get real. No Im sure Russia is on a very thin edge and if Ukraine can keep going long enough ( I wish I knew how long that was ) there will be a collapse of some description in Russia. NATO was built to because the United States felt it important to defend Europe from the Soviet Union. Ritter implies that Europe cannot defend itself against Russia. Yet, the European Union and NATO should be ended because they are useless. If Russia has an armed forced claimed to be able to defeat all of Europe, that implies it was not for defense. Why does it exist if no threat from Europe? If you have an armed forces and it is arrayed on Europe's borders it was invested in for a reason. What is left unsaid of course is Scott Ritter is am employee of RT. Why should the opinion of an employee be trusted regarding the usefulness and relevance of NATO? But i do clearly remember that when Ukraine started to threaten Crimea from Odessa by missiles and sea drones Scott here was quite adamant about Russia having to go right till Odessa so they stop any and all future threats to Crimea. Back then he never pointed out the reasons why Russia would not or could not take Odessa but that it's a given fact IF Ukraine keeps the war going on.

Well, Ukraine has not yielded and is still insisting on it's 1991 borders before any peace is possible. So what changed Scott's opinion that now makes almost impossible for Russia to take Odessa or that it would be viewed as an big bad agresor by some BRICS members?
