2:10no plugins are allowed on the free wordpress.com site you see that doesn't
2:18expense also when you run your own website when you have a self-hosted site
2:24this one is free and like I say there are some paid options as well
2:29monetization freedom you could set it up to make as much money as you like but
2:35you couldn't do it on wordpress.com maintenance maintenance maintenances is
2:43huge for a lot of people i understand that
2:46um for myself is not a big deal because when i run into issue whether it's a
2:51security issue or performance issue with my website
2:57I can pretty much narrowed down and fix it but you know a lot of people can a
3:02lot of people don't want the headache which is why some people go to the
3:06wordpress.com site in order to block you can see the not part of the network
3:14extra traffic that you'll get from wordpress.com according to this
3:20infographic but it all depends on what you want
3:28it's really all about control and that's the thing that that's not what i was
3:34going to talk about I've made reference to it at the beginning of the recording
3:38do you want to control your own website or you know maybe there's a few trade

3:48I just probably went through a few for some people
3:52me personally I like running my own website
3:55I love the freedom i love the control of it and but that's just me I'd like I
4:03said I really understand why some bloggers go with wordpress.com i
