I'm a guitar teacher and I've told my students that this is virtually the same song arrangement as Here Comes My Girl by Tom Petty. A to B chords with the droning A bass note is a very distinctive and beautiful Lydian chord progression in the intro and verse of both songs and then finally going to the E/B/A Ionian progression in the chorus. I later found out that CBG was listening to that very song when he came up with this amazing tune. That's pure genius! Picasso, quoted more recently by Steve Jobs said "Good artists copy; great artists steal" This is a great example of that!
ОтветитьGreat song, which renews many great memories!!! Thanks!
ОтветитьMemories of WAY better days! Thx guys!
ОтветитьI remember walking in New York City the year this was released, I had the song playing on my Sony Walkman, ran into Billy Squire and like a true fan at the time, I stopped him and said hi, he snubbed me, but Miracle was on in my head, made that experience ok. The song has the power to make your day!
