The videos of yours I like the most are the ones where you seem to enjoy yourself! Make what makes you happy 😊
ОтветитьPlease look after yourself and do art that makes you happy. Don't put too much pressure on yourself x
Ответитьhey! really liked the video. I know your videos have been receiving less attention for the past months but you ARE good at this. your videos are so comforting and human, whenever you talk about your struggles as an artist(whether on techniques or business) , it almost feels like I feel more comfortable with calling myself an artist; like an artist can have the same problems as most of us and still create beautiful art the way you do. honestly, I like the videos of you doing what you like and painting whatever you are passionate about at the moment the best.
ОтветитьHola!
ОтветитьCool
ОтветитьOh I feel that about making art only for a video! I love your art and your videos I find a lot of honesty and inspiration in them ❤❤
ОтветитьBeautiful work! I always enjoy your videos! Thank you for sharing your art and life with us
ОтветитьHappy late birthday! In all honesty my favorite videos of yours are always the ones where you allow yourself to be more self indulgent or work in your sketchbook. Your a great artist and I hope the algorithm figures out what the hell they’re doing
ОтветитьIf it helps, I've seen alot of artists on here with the same view problem. Seems that it's just the algorithm being ass as usual so try not to take it as a reflection on you.
Maybe to try + tackle the burnout maybe you could make other videos that are less art-heavy if that makes sense? Like you could talk about your art inspirations/favourite artists, look through old sketchbooks (if you're willing to) etc. Just something that doesn't need as much creative energy. Take care of yourself!
I absolutely feel what you're saying here with the burnout. While I was not a video creator, I had my "dream job" painting client work for 60 hour weeks for several years. It sucked, and it sucked all of the joy out of painting. I grew bitter and jaded, and any time I made personal work it was rushed and felt like time theft. 2 years ago I took a day job and stopped my professional art, and now being able to look back I don't regret it for a second. I am finally loving creating again, and when I make it is because I want to do it. When I create, it has a different spark to it that I didn't have when I was depressed and burnt out. I only take freelance jobs that I want to do because I am more financially secure. I know that making that career pivot came from a place of privilege, but know if you do need to pull back for your mental health all that you've built, all of your skills, all of the people who care for you will still be there. You are allowed to rest. Your work is absolutely wonderful, and you deserve to be happy! 💓
ОтветитьJust a little message of support. I find I have less and less time to keep up with watching videos lately, but I appreciate the time and effort you and others put into them very much! Much love from down here in Sydney, Australia 🩵
ОтветитьI've been regularly watching your vids for some more than a year now and I just wanted to say that I just love all of the videos that you release, even the ones that might be a bit alike! It's just so nice to listen to the way you talk about your art journey and adventures, and hearing about the obstacles you face in it really make me feel like I'm not alone in facing stuff like art block, which is a nice feeling.
I definitely wouldn't mind to see more self indulgent/chill videos from you, since I just love to come along and listen and watch you while I'm also sketchbooking myself. You deserve to indulge yourself and take time to rest besides all the work you do for the graphic novel! 💗💗💗
hey, firstly, the work you do is in fact very hard! not a horrible job to have, ofc, and it's aways good to check our privileges, but not everyone is capable of doing what you're capable of - I can't imagine myself working with my art full time, putting up with deadlines, not being able to do 100% what I want, when I want and at the pace I want. that souds VERY difficult! and I admire artistis like you that do that a lot! secondly, time-off is the best thing to do with creative burnout in my experience. skip those uploads, take that month off, draw something and don't record it, or don't draw at all until you're bored. you got this! it's going to get better!
ОтветитьI actually really like videos like this! I like seeing people just working on what they want to work on, seeing them motivated and excited makes me more motivated too :)
ОтветитьI always enjoy your videos even the ones that you call more self-indulgent or low-effort. Watching artists having a good time inspires me to let go and do the same! I really like the lighting and contours of the one in the upper left corner and their expressions are so cute.
ОтветитьMaking and editing even just one high concept art video a week is a massive challenge. Definitely credit yourself for that.
ОтветитьFun spread. Also yeah, with my birthday around the corner in November, I’m not ready to lose my insurance either at all 😢
