How is it off-grid if you have to have natural gas to make it work? Off of the electrical grid and onto the gas grid.

since it is here in the silicon valley ca, PG & E should use this to power us, for cheaper and affordable to all californian. 

But the website says the technology isn't sufficiently advanced for residential use. So dangling that cube in front of the public to make us accept is is deceptive. Will we buy the Bloombox or will we rent it and if we buy it, will we still be charged for the power generated by the device? How did Ebay, for example, obtain this Bloombox and under what terms do they operated it?

Bloom boxes require fuel like natural gas along with oxygen. Another words, if you want consistent electricity, you need to be tied to the grid that provides this fuel. So this is not Off Grid device.

big oil won't allow this for residential use. People all over the world have already come up with better ideas decades ago and they have been purposely forgotten. This is no different.

Sadly it only makes electric, it is not a chip unit, but could be. Why it is not, is unexplainable, and a failure of all who bought this unit! As other companies have done it!

How can you replace the fuel component with solar?

I think this device is not "free" energy. It is difficult to break the physically law that define "energy cannot be created nor destroyed" So it still needs fuel like fossil fuel, butane, etc., together with oxygen to produce electricity. Difference is it does not need to burn the fuel. For an electric vehicle, it still need a petrol tank and oxygen from the surrounding air to work in this cell device to produce electricity. It requires an electric motor, no mechanical moving heat engines and no re-charging. In Chinese this system is called LanPar-ParLan.
