Hey Joe, I get what you're saying with little trails of information. Difficulty is, there is no smoking gun. We're taking the authors word for it that John O'Grady said this. Is there a copy of the list that John gave Dary showing Desiree. With regard to Elvis knowing or not about infidelity on Priscilla's part, once again, we have a person not wanting to be named who is friends with Priscilla telling Dary that Elvis knew about it. This was 1986, 7 years after the Elvis movie with Kurt Russell, it was after the This Is Elvis documentary and countless books, interviews and articles. Someone could come up with all this and today it makes a level of sense. For it to be anything credible, there simply has to be some better evidence that what is written is true IMHO.

So..was Lisa made...because of what .maybe ..Elvis and Priscilla thought, others expected that from them?

Priscilla wrote, Elvis and she did not make 'love'after Lisa was born. Maybe because of Elvis, who did not want to be with Priscilla??

There are many discrepancies in this book. Are you Lonsome Tonight was recorded in 1960, and She's not you recorded in 1962. And, Memories was recorded in 1966. There is no mention on the internet of Are You Lonesome tonight being rerecorded. What about Anita Wood, she was dating Elvis hot and heavy from 1957 until 1963. Elvis had given her a promise ring and Anita spent time in Hollywood with Elvis. She was living at Graceland, and Elvis'Mom was teaching her to cook for Elvis, as they were in jopes of marriage. Anita is in many pictures with Elvis in Texas when he is getting ready to go to the military. He called her in that famous telephone call from Germany where Anita had not heard from him, so she is accusing him of having other women. Elvis, probably, got hooked on the French language in France when he was in the military, as there is a video of Joe Esposito telling of their going to the Lido in Paris and going backstage to meet the girls. Joe says that all the girls left with them and went to where they were staying. He said Elvis had 3 girls with him that night, and all the guys had girls. This story does not mention any of Elvis' other loves like Anita, June Juanico and others because the suthor and this woman did not know of them, but Priscilla was in the news. I believe that the author and this woman collected enough details to put this "so called love story" together to make it real. I find it difficult to swallow (you have to be objective) where no one ever knew of this woman and there was no DNA test. None of Elvis'family claim to have known her name, and say Elvis, definitively, had only one child. This all is uncharacteristic of Elvis as he never carried on this long with anyone, let alone a married woman. He, also, did not want women with loose morals. What was with this woman with a husband and 6 childten up and taking off on a whim to go see Elvis. She did not have the best of morals. It is entirely posdible that this author contacting another author to collaborate on the story, and he could research as well she on details of Elvis if you were a fantasizer and a stalker. If they expect people to believe this, then provide someone who knew about this or get a DNA test. But, this is a case of believe my word because I wrote a book. Anyone could do that. I am a college graduate, and you are taught neve r to accept everything without researcing and definitve proof. There is no definitive proof in this story.

I thank Elvis asked many girls to marry as a way to get to them. He would string them along because that is what a non-commital person does.

I believe both because maybe Ginger did not know where he proposed Priscilla so she did not copy that story and he had friends who otherwise say that Ginger lied. And I assume they told people how the proposal went.

He was I assume because of also his proposal to Ginger ...he was fallen in love to her. And did the same.
This brings me at another thought: he as it looks like the book from Lucy did not want to marry Priscilla. Was there any friend than who talked about that to others?
Than he wanted to marry Ginger and than some people around them said he didn't want to marry Ginger.

As Dary mentioned in the previous video both he and Lucy were taken back at how people didn't believe the story..... Maybe if they could've included some phone records , hotel reservations, airline reservations it would have been ideal.

Naysayer here! I am still skeptical, but John O'Brady remembering the name Desiree on Elvis's call list is the first piece of info. I've heard so far that is convincing. The only other thing that makes me wonder if this story could really be true is Desiree herself. There's no denying that she favors Elvis, and as Dary said, the fact that she was an accepted member of Julio Eglasias's entourage adds some credibility as well. I'm still not 100% convinced that it's true, but I'm also not convinced that it isn't. Thanks, Joe!

Didn't you just say that Goldman (1981) already documented Elvis' forced marriage? I think some of this info about Prissy's affair was also in "Elvis What Happened, (1976)" as it was pointed out to me by another Commenter. Perhaps there’s more info in both of these books that needs to be looked at. I don't recall Elvis forcing Prissy to take dancing lessons or French. Those were things that she sought out herself, as I remember. This story is real short on "hard evidence."

Hi Joe love listening to read Are You Lonesome Tonight I remember back in the late 80's or early 90's seeing Lucy and Desiree on a talk show maybe Phil Donahue..I wasn't having none of it! Didn't believe that my Elvis (lol) could have had another child with someone else other than Priscilla I bought into the fairy tale of Elvis and Priscilla hook line and sinker! But as I have gotten older and have access to more information I see thinks in a different light...thanks to "Child Bride" I'm not buying into any of Priscillas twisted lies and see her for what she is...someone that destroyed Elvis' life and is trying to do nothing more than profit off of anyone and anything related to him...I feel for Lisa Marie and the life she endured after the loss of her father...may their memories respectfully live on in the hearts of those that love both Lisa Marie and Elvis.... Forever a fan....sorry I got a little sidetracked I was wondering if Lucy's book has any pictures and if so could you please show them...thanks again for sharing the book

Joe, thank you for acknowledging not everyone is totally on board with this being a true story. Of course, not everyone is going to agree on everything all the time but your accepting and not condemning or demeaning those who don't accept it is commendable. I'm wondering if Desiree can do a DNA test with, Patsy, Elvis' double first cousin. Both set of parents were siblings. Also, Lucy and Desiree were on the, Phil Donahue, show back when and claimed that 3 DNA test were done and all 3 proved that Desiree was in fact, Elvis' daughter. Was this true? Where is the proof?

Referring to an other book is how we learn the truth.

Not sure how this is going to end, but I believe Lucy’s story.

yes, thank you, Kelli, I agree. This is a concocted story, a fantasy of a woman tht is screwed up. She never gives any definitve evidence. She discredited, also, Elvis Memphis Mafia rht he did not have faith in them. This is wrong, because I listened to a video of Elvis speaking to the media saying that the guys had been with them from the beginning, and he said that they were with him because he had to have trust-he trusted them fully, and he told the media that it was important to him for his success. This woman Lucy, and the author both discounted the Memphis Mafia, why because they wanted to keep it without anyone knowing this fake story which makes it more unbelievable. It, also, trouble me that this author goes to another author to corroborate his story, This book is supposed to be about Lucy and Elvis, but she and the author are putting stuff about Priscilla, which from what I know and have read ia not accurate, but they are trying to make Lucy look legitimate which is so wrong. Elvis and Priscilla had the friendliest of divorces, and walked out arm and arm out of the courthouse (there is a picture of it). This woman Lucy did not exist in his life, I am convinced. I, also, saw that her daughter told someone thanks for believing the story. That even looks strange. I found many discrepancies in her story. You should not have to tell people thanks for believing if it was documented and true.
