I've come to the inevitable conclusion that the various races on Earth are due to various hominid's interbreeding with each other over millions of years. Sub-Saharan African's are going to have a different ancestry from say Asians, or Caucasians though there will be overlap too. This is why we have different blood types, for instance RH- have difficulty reproducing with RH+'s. My mother was RH- and had 3 miscarriage's with my RH+ father. Some people would do well to not have children together, unless you like a string of dead babies to end up with one viable one. That was a off color joke. haha get it? Off color?

In Romania there are many legends of the giants too. Some are about gentle giants who help the local smaller humans, some are about "căpcăuni" or "zmei" who abduct young virgins and merry them.
In modern times there are areas of Romania where people are averagely taller and stronger than the rest of the country ("novaci" in the south west area and people living in the north area, Maramureş, called "moți" - "moț" = the tip of a hairy/fury area, the tip of something, much in the shape of a mountain top) and they are said to descend from a race of giants. Also there were fount giant/very large bones in various regions of the country. I think someone should investigate the possible connection with the denissovans.
Also the inhabitants of the area are depicted on roman monumental buildings in about 100 after Christ and latter as being very tall. Also the locals have as charasteristic redish broun hair and often light color eyes (green to broun or green to blue) eyes.
The whole area shows signs of very old human habitation. So far the "giant schelets" and the descendance from a giant race of some people in the area is treated as "myth" and "legend" but under the light of the discovery of the Denissovan race, I think it is highly compelling to investigate the connections. Sadly this will not be done by local authorities who have outdated views of the hystory and will not likely evolve in the next few generations.

Why should not Denisovans domesticate horses? North African rock art shows a woman leading a giraffe on a lead. One of the reasons humans domesticated cattle was to have a ready supply of in the north african case milk and non-lethal blood tappings used as a protein source and in northern nations, milk, beef and hides (with no need to undergo risky hunting activities).

I don't know how we can be sure that dating based on layers is actually feasible when we don't know what has happened to local areas through time - local floods, erosion, earthquakes, mudslides... and, how do you know that the bangle piece wasn't buried after Noah's flood that covered the whole earth? Also, depending on your dating methods you could be majorly off by thousands of years anyways. The age of the human race according to the Bible goes back to about 4000 BC.. so 6,000 yrs ago.

I don't know, Andrew, if you read Aku Aku by Thor Heyerdahl, but in it he relates stories told to him by the elders on Easter Island. They told him about how the "long ears" disappeared. Evidently, the long eared people were giants, too. The discoverers of Easter Island under Capt.Jacob Roggeveen in 1722, verified this. The long ears made the regular islanders carve all the statues and they got tired of it, so they ambushed them and killed them all. Maybe they also, were the elites of the tribe that you talk about in this video. Maybe they had some Denisovan DNA, because Easter Island is close to that red line..

There were giants in the Americas and in the early years of travellers going to North America there are stories of meeting giants that lived on the mounds, some of which still exist although many have been flatten for building sites.
These peoples died out due to no immunity to diseases like small pox etc and whenever skeletons are found they subsequently are taken by the Smithsonian, never to be seen again.
It would be interesting if someone were to put in a freedom of information request to the Smithsonian to ascertain if they have any giant remains in their storage facilities.

Many ancient texts talk about giants. It's in Genesis, were godly beings were said to breed with humans and their children became giants. That is a fragment of the book of Enoch. It's in Sumerian texts, in old Indian texts like the Mahabharata and in Nordic myths, to name a few examples.
