Sony Pulls Concord Servers (Factions 2 Got Canned for This?)

the cancelation of factions keeps hitting harder and harder..........

The fact that concord died exactly two weeks after release is kinda sad……. even though the game was pretty ass to begin with 😂

I'm not surprised the game is shutting down but I am surprised at how quickly it happened I was not expecting it this quickly

I remember when the rumors about Bungie not liking Factions 2 came out my immediate response was "Bungie is having so many issues with their own game, why listen to them at all". Seeing how they believed so hard in Concord for this all to play out just proves that original thought correct.
I'm really sad that we'll never know exactly what Factions 2 was or get to play it because higher ups canned it over a game with a style people have been tired of for years now. If ND did decide they wanted to step away from making a live service game that they never wanted to make in the first place, then good, I want them to make what they want to, not what they are forced to. If it got canned by Sony higher ups in favor of Concord, I hope ND can reuse elements of what was planned for Factions 2 in new games somehow.

sony still can have anther studio to take over the last of us part 2 multiplayer and naughty dog did tell sony they did want to became live service studio

Factions 2 and Days Gone 2 were both shelved for crap like this....ooof. Hopefully with Jim Ryan gone, these will be back on the table?

My only wish in this life was to play Factions 2 with my friends... i have a question tho, can a studio "revive" TLOU factions 2? Like can they start production again from where they left it? Or is it all lost? If so we as gamers got robbed >:c

We Tlou fans wouldve had a field day with factions 2 but no sony thought an overwatch bootleg was so much better 🤡

Its just funny because no matter how bad fractions could be, it would never be a concord.

If literally any other studio had cancelled their live service game in order to focus on their singleplayer games, they would be hailed and showered in praise. When ND does it it's another L for some reason

Nobody realizes that the failure of concord is the exact reason factions and the great web were canned. Insomniac and naughty dog were smart enough to see that these games weren’t sustainable for what they wanted to make.

Good fuck concord and fuck sony. They don’t know what the people want. hopefully factions 2 gets revived somehow

Saying Factions got canned for Concord is a weird comparison to me because nothing stopped Naughty Dog to say "we are stepping back on the live service ambitions and just dropping it as per previous rendition, as a network pvp game."

And also it was Naughty Dogs decision, which is good, they dont want to do live service because they know they are good with single player games.

Factions didn’t get canned for this. It’s not even the same studio. Naughty dog wasn’t interesting in making live service games. Whining children like you are part of what’s wrong with gaming today. Studios making games they aren’t passionate about is why we keep getting bad games that fail

The sad part is I can't even play factions because I don't have a Ps3 or Ps4 anymore. I just want to play again.

Factions 2 could have been everything that the scam game, The Day Before, pretended to be and so much more. A lot of people got excited for that game because those fake trailers looked like things we had imagined about Factions 2.

Factions 2 didn’t get canceled for this, but Naughty Dog should have 100% passed off Factions development to another Sony Studio

Honestly all they had to do was port the origami factions and make it playable across pc and ps5/ps4

I would prefer factions 2 over concord any day of the week

i would literally pay $100 just for the last of us part 1 factions to be added to the part 1 remake

Been a year since they announced Factions II was cancelled. To think they even reimagined the Checkpoint map in Seattle’s International District and we only ever saw a small portion of the content from leaks. All that work for nothing. I guess we still have the original Factions. It’s actually funny when I realize Factions II was one of the only things I looked forward to in life and when it was cancelled my motivation overall sort of crumbled. Made a lot of progress in 2024 but nothing seems to fill the void. Sort of pathetic but sort of stuck in this reality. What do I do?
