This was my foot beat as a police officer in the 80s actually a nice place to work. The people who lived there were very nice, happy days it was 4AB beat. On Milkstone road is the best little chip shop in the world when I visit the UK it is one of my first stops. By the way I am a white Mancunian and respect the Asian culture very kind people.

Grown in Rochdale was born late 50s went to all saint school on Maud St then Red brook middle school Bridgefold Road and Green hill upper school Falinge Rd Rochdale is a ghost town mainly because John brights cotton mill and Turner Brothers who employed most of Rochdale work force did my apprenticeship at Henry Nuttalls on Holmes Street i left in late 80s in my 60s now do i miss Rochdale yes but the way it was in the 60s-70s Jazakullah my brother Farrukh for the video .

We are 2nd generation immigrants and grew up in Rochdale in the 60s & 70s. I've served in the RAF and worked in the defence industry. Rochdale has its problems but so do many others towns. It used to be a lovely town with decent caring people. Not correct to blame just one community.
