Such a beautiful piece...

love the horn and bass clarinet duet in the beginning and how it becomes a motif for the entire piece.

Played this in my senior year Band camp at Pinelow in 2005.... Never found a proper good recording... Thank you OP for this... Nostalgic to say the least!

I liked playing timpani on this song but the composer didn't write in where I was supposed to change the notes so I had to study the music and figure it out myself.

I remember playing this on bass clarinet. This is truly a piece where bass clarinet is featured beautifully

I was in a middle school honor band and I heard this at the concert when the high school played it.

Today I got to talk to Dr Ewazen and it was amazing, I love this piece and Hymn for the lost and the living. He is such a great person and composer and he deserves to get his pieces played.

Just found a recording of this from one of our high school performances. One of my favorite pieces we performed.
