When I hear “content creator” I think of someone who creates professional quality videos and have sponsorships and are profitable.

I'm 42 years old, and I've been creating content since the days of blogs. Communicating publicly over FB, IG, Twitter and LinkedIn has enormously grown my personal brand in my little niche. I've gotten opportunities to write, to travel and to grow my business because of the content I've created over the last 15 years. I have no intention of stopping now.

A content creator is an independent media producer.

My feed is now, also, filled with cow hooves!!! lol

I am 54 and my thoughts on what a content creator is shifting. Up until like the last year when I thought content creator I thought about 20 somethings with tons of followers and I believed for the longest time that that there was NO way I could do something like that. Well my view has changed and I am working on growing a channel that I have had for a few years but did nothing with until the last couple of months. I have a LONG way to go and I am documenting that journey as part of my content.

LOL just FYI Gen X is BETWEEN millennials and the Boomers LOL. We're also knows as the forgotten generation. 🤣🤣🤣😂😂

This is encouraging. I am in my 2.0 season of my life. I am a furniture artist and love re-purposing other household items and have a passion to share with others. I am giving my channel time to grow so when I retire I have another form of income.

I'm 54 years old and just recently pivoted my career from working in a corporate office to being a chef partnering with a vegan restaurant in Minneapolis. Your video has helped me so much and just solidified what I was thinking I should do. I want to have videos that bring value to people in a way that only I can bring it. After lots of overthinking, one day I asked my daughter to just film me peeling a potato with a knife. That video got more views than anything I've ever posted. It was under 30 seconds. Your video has encouraged me to keep going, especially after hearing what your Mom had to say. Tell her I said thank you! 🤗

I am a 58 yo solo backpacking digital nomad. Love this but I would have loved for you to have had someone older sitting with you. This is part of the problem with trying to break into this social media sphere. We are left out of a lot of these conversations. There are nuisances as to why older creators struggle that can only be expressed by them.

I just started maybe 3 months ago. Been watching different channels and one thing ive learned is create value to the viewer thats it. Thats my entire focus, not money, not fame, just pure value bundled into a few minutes of video. A lot harder than I thought.

Omar, this is EXACTLY where we are in life - having just started our @friendsafter40pod. It's been something that's been brewing for quite some time and we finally jumped in. Even with full time corporate careers we've decided to pull the trigger. We love being in service and are loving the process (we're closet creatives). No pressure, no fear, and keeping to the fundamental principles that folks like you teach. We (over 40) appreciate you!

I was 52 last August 25th and i started my podcast show in September with already 4 recorded videos on lifestyle and Business. I just released 2 videos and the rest 2 will be out this weekend and coming week.
