Samsung Q950A Soundbar Review - King of Soundbars!

Is this Soundbar compatible with LG G1 OLED

Jonah does any soundbar currently compete with this one or sound better? I was looking at the sony ht a7000 with the sub and new rears. Or waiting for the new samsung q990b soundbar.

This sound system much more amazing when tested with 2021 QLED Samsung Tv and making sure that the sound mode is in adaptive. U will be blown away.

This Samsung Soundbar sounds like an incredible lame idea. If you need physical surround speakers and a subwoofer, after all, the Q950A is essentially no more than a glorified center speaker. The whole idea of a soundbar is get rid of all those bulky 5.1+ speaker sets. Epic fail.

You should do a review of the 990b .. it made some changes that you didn’t like for the 950a ..

Hey buddy, Awesome details in your vids and the presentation is great. I've never owned a surround system before and want to pull the trigger this year (maybe tomorrow 😜). I can get this at $1100 and the JBL Bar 9.1 Atmos for $730. Which one would you suggest I get or is there a third option I can look at? PS. I only use the Shield TV with my Sony 65x9000F as there's no other android TV or device that comes close IMO.

King of Soundbars? You can't claim it when there are top-end ones like Sennheiser Ambeo, Klipsch, Yamaha, Samsung might be the best between the LG and Sony. So you can claim King of Mainstream Soundbars. lmao. 😂

I have purchased q990b after such great reviews. I just wanted to know about 2 surround speakers. Inspite of putting rear channels at highest level of 6, I am getting very less sound in surround mode. Is it the default way of surround speakers?

I bought the Samsung 990B soundbar because of the good reviews. This is my first surround soundbar but the surround is stunning and very balanced. Beautiful bass, clear voices and sparkling background sounds. I do have the impression that the soundbar should be used with a (recent) Samsung TV. I am thinking, for example, of some extra functionalities (Wifi, QSymphony) that come with the Soundbar. The supplied manuals are rather concise, it is better to consult the online manuals for a detailed explanation. It is not suitable for use with my TV (Sony Bravia KDL 42WXXXX ). I run into too many latency issues with the sound for that. As long as everything runs via the ARC-eARC HDMI cable, everything seems to run nicely synchronously. Every time I try to play with my Telenet digicorder via the HDMI port (in) of the TV or the soundbar, sync problems arise with the sound. Especially when fast forwarding Telenet recordings or skipping from watching TV to recordings. The problem can then only be solved by deactivating/reactivating HDMI ports.

Every year there's a new king of soundbars and every year they get more & more expensive. Just buy a home theater system you can hide wires like you would this system

Yeah... it's undeniable that Samsung soundbar performs is top notch. I even use it with my LG C2. May upgrade my living room TV to a S95 to get Q Symphony living room epicness!

Bought it sale for 1400$ also bought a neo qled because of it for qsymphony, don’t notice too much of a difference but the system is incredible!! Only thing is the display being on top is useless and it would be perfect if I could add another subwoofer but regardless, definitely one of the best !!

I don’t care where they put the LED display. What needs to happen for set up is on screen display. The thing is plugged into an HDMI port anyway why not have an on screen display for calibration and all your settings?

After owing it for a week I quickly returned it due to the Sub being extremely underwhelming, I don’t understand how such a great system could have a low level component.. at first I thought I was being too drastic but after watching this review I’m glad to see I wasn’t the only one who wasn’t impressed with its performance. I then purchased the Klipsch 1200 and it’s a night and day difference!

I just purchased one new for $450! Can't believe the luck. Yes, it's a bit outdated now but I couldn't hear much of a difference between this and the newer models, wich is FAR more expensive. Very happy with this system!

Q950A, Q930B or Q800C+SWA9500s ? Without price aspect

I have had Samsung HW-Q80R soundbar with Subwoofer and two rear speakers for long time. However unfortunately I don't have option auto eq function neither through soundbar or smart things app. Is there any way I can perform auto eq audio calibration for my setup?

I've had mine for over a year and it's AVERAGE AT BEST. All the channels it Brags about only makes it harder to hear all the sounds. And DOESN'T give you a complete surround sound experience

Purchased it after the review! So happy with q950a but I can't seem to play dts files on it. Either with shield TV, Xbox or laptop. I want dts so bad, please help!
