My God brother you described this PERFECTLY. Ego is the root of anxiety fear guilt and regret, and the present is the only place we can be freed from it. The present is where I find happiness and joy but it’s much easier said than done to enter the present. I enter it one day but then later that night I catch myself fearing the future and overthinking things of the past. I’m completely aware of the problem and I know the solution but the solution only makes sense sometimes. Sometimes it’s so easy to be in the moment and be freed from the negativity, but at other times I feel trapped and unable to escape the suffering of my minds negativity. I just want to be present all the time so I can constantly be the man Jesus wants me to be! I understand this is likely something even the people who are aware of the battle struggle with for we are in a constant battle of good and evil. I believe we can maintain presence by finding tools that force us into the present and staying stray of things that charge our ego. Looking at the clouds, looking at birds, watching the ocean waves crash, playing sports, being with my family are all things that force me into the present. Music with bad energy boosts pride, bad food boosts our pride, who we surround ourselves with affects our pride, and anything that makes us act different from our authentic selves is just feeding into our pride. Listening to music with good meaning, being kind to others, starting conversations with strangers, being honest and authentic, praying, meditating, and knowing your true self all lowers our pride. Pride gets fueled by sin, doing what is right and prioritizing Jesus within our lives casts out the demons of pride. Once pride is gone, negativity dissipates… no more anxiety pressure regret or fear; then the moment becomes visible for we’ve escaped our mind. I understand all of this but I’m still scared. Pride manifests in the shadows and I’m unaware of it until I feel the negativity presenting itself. Every-time I get trapped in my head I suffer. Every-time I suffer inside my mind I get scared it won’t leave which in return gives me more anxiety. Do you have any suggestions and does it get easier with time? I suffered years in my head… like I absolutely suffered. It felt like hell on earth and once I was freed from it I felt like I was in Heaven. Thank you so much brother!

When I become aware of my thoughts trailing off i bring my self back into the present, by kind just by feeling myself here without even having to touch anything, I also give myself affirmations like I am currently in the present, I am aware of the energies I am producing to myself and others, I also think meditating on the present can help you be aware longer thanks for info! ОтветитьTime is not a sense. You cannot feel it. The present you can.
Ответитьive literally never heard time presented like you presented it, its so true though life is happening ever second that passes and there really is no past or future, even tho it feels like it, being such a foreign concept it does seem weird at first, but upon trying it and even ironically thinking about it, it does make sense, but most people have been hard wired from birth to think like we all do, and being in the present isnt even something some people have even done before

Having good self awareness to be able to notice the shift... when the ego is at play. Thank you! I needed to be reminded of the power of just being present 🙌🏾
ОтветитьI struggle to be present because my mind feels like it’s able to take me back into a tight anxiety written head space all the time. It sucks. I feel like I am naturally like this. Meditation does help, but it gets frustrating that everytime I meditate I just feel the tension in my head and it makes meditation hard but I pull through. One thing I remember is to live from a heart space. When I live authentically through a heart space I find joy in the presence. I can live, peacefully, with no worries.

ОтветитьI had a crazy awareness when you just said that I have my own little fidget toy that I kind of had my whole life. I didn’t realize it was a fidget toy until I got older and seeing kids with their fidget toys, but I realized that it’s my body that’s intelligent trying to pull me into the now by fidgeting with something in my hands trying to pull me into now because your body is the now moment
