[MOVIE & I] Location Manager, Kim Tae-young

A man who has traveled around Earth twenty times to find a perfect place to shoot a movie. It’s the story of a highly dedicated location manager Kim Tae-young. Although a scene might appear only for a second or two in an entire film, Kim says he had even spent up to three months to spot a location. Kim, who says he imagines the different aspects of what the place offers when choosing the shooting location, has now grown to naturally look into sites suitable for shooting movie scenes even during a family getaway or hanging out with friends. Kim says over ten years of his experience in the field seems to have given him an ability to sense places that could be properly used as a background in a movie. He adds that location managers’ task is to discover new stories behind their areas and connect them with films. He tells us the story about the locations within the movies and his film story.
