Feeling more in control of our mood and ourselves doesn't have to be a pipe dream. Sometimes all it takes is following along with these 3 steps to improve your mood. As I talked about in my last video, engaging in a regular mindfulness practice helps us to feel more in control of ourselves in general. Today I will be sharing how the naturally occurring skill of mindful awareness actually helps you to meet your mental health goals. Harnessing the power of mindful awareness helps us to catch unhelpful thoughts and behaviors in the moment. This powerful skill gives us a choice of 1) letting our automatic thoughts rule us OR 2) Becoming curious enough about the reality of our thoughts to actually change our responses.
