Tile roof& i feel your pain! So sorry for your loss. Great video, thanks for sharing! May the God of all creation sustain you !
ОтветитьThank you for sharing some insight into your personal life. Loosing a loved one is very hard and affect everyone in a different way. I lost my husband to a freak accident and it took over a year before I wanted anyone around me. Even then I didn't want others to talk about him. Felt those were my memories and wasn't willing to share them. If you haven't gone through all the grief yet, you will and there will be things that pop into your mind you will smile about. It does get easier however you never forget or wish that person was still with you. Hope your journey forward will be a happy one. The homes there would have been very beautiful, not to say they aren't now even with the destruction, when completed. Like the next to last one best, not for the size, but the layout. Thank you for posting, enjoyed the tour.
ОтветитьI don’t know how everybody didn’t see the housing crisis of 2008 coming. When you can give your dog someone else socil security number and a fake job and acquire a massively overpriced home loan from a bank, a housing crisis is coming.
ОтветитьAgreed. The desert is "magical" in many ways. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and love my yearly or bi-yearly drives down to the southwest. 😊 The best time to be in the desert IMO is December. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Ответить
ОтветитьI love this guys voice and story telling!!!
ОтветитьIf the challenge was Financial and Economic, then the abandoned project actually has a wholly different statement of "failure".
To leave homes, at their pevel of completion, (without having set up a Fence and Security Cameras), is a Statement of utter Waste, lacking of ethical values and questionable intelligence.
The destruction for salvage is one thing, but the intentional destruction to satisfy some Adolescent act of acting out, is an observable example of the Human "Lower Mind, aka Ego Mind, aka Adolescent Mind" (absent in parenting or training towards Maturing).
A waste of resources, and environmental trashing.
It is undesirable to look upon.
We can mature with less waste, aggressions, and absence of our greater Potentials.
Your videos would be a lot better if you'd just knock off your mindless babbling. You haven't figured out yet that if you're pointing a camera at something you needn't use your simple-minded descriptions. It presumes the viewer is as stupid as . . . .
ОтветитьLooks like these houses are made for quik sale to the rich, nothing too fancy tho but I'd say its good for middle class folks
ОтветитьDude, thank you for sharing your story. I'm going through the same thing. I needed to hear that right at this moment. You might have just saved my life. God bless you and your videos are the best! Thanks for everything!
ОтветитьWho would want to ever live out in the middle of some God forsaken desert.
ОтветитьWhen you look at what a lovely structure the home was, It was like a thing of beauty in a wastleland. And just to make sure a small piece of beauty is not allowed to survive along comes one or more anti-social neanderthal misfits complete with arrested development to destroy the last bit of beauty in that area. Only someone with an under developed mind from the paleolithic age could derive enjoyment from the destruction of beauty. America has gone from the land of the free to the land of the violent mutants.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your story, I find some parts very deeply and in a way that aligns with some of my exercises. I haven't lost a parent yet (not sure how I'll navigate life after that) but my personal journey has been one that no one really believes until they get to know me. I found out later in life than most that I have a rare genetic disorder that has changed my life completely. Some say they are amazed at how I've handled it but it's not so simple. It turned out I should have died but I clearly didn't. I was told by the doctors at the Mayo Clinic that I would be home bound, I am not, in fact I have gotten to a point where I was teaching dancing lessons. One thing you said that resonates so much is "through it." I just knew that I couldn't stop living life, there's to much in this world, so many unique people and amazing places that have helped shape my life and I wasn't willing to let those fall away. There's far to much for me to put here but I encourage everyone to reach for your dreams and follow their hearts with an open mind, eyes wide open and listen to it all... the sounds and the silences because you never know what's ahead of you. I've been asked if I would do things differently if I could, my response, no, every step I've taken has brought me to where I am now. I'm grateful for that!
ОтветитьTo build up takes time, patience and effort.... To destroy isn't very challenging...😢
ОтветитьAll i see are the 6-8 car garages and then some useless spaces. who would like to live in such a big houses
ОтветитьThe view in the first house 😍
ОтветитьI cant do it. Thought I’d give you another shot to be fare…
Don’t quit your day job Jeremy. Maybe if you could practice reading, learn how to effectively use your incredible voice, and do some good research and educate yourself so that you can offer your audience truly interesting and informative material?
PS. A shopping cart does not a homeless person make. Why the hell would a homeless person travel out in a desert wasteland with no water, food etc. The homeless I see tend to be where there are people who can help them out.
My friends and I have played paintball here
Ответить2025 to 2008. not bad kid but you ain't seen nothing like this
ОтветитьI’m very sorry for your loss Jeremy. ❤
ОтветитьCorrection
Not a Ghost Town, a Ghost City.
For it to be a ghost town, people had to live there.
Its like chinese ghost cities where people have not lived there yet.
Been to the place, no ghost town resonance there.
So sorry for your loss
ОтветитьThis is near Kingman AZ about 20 minutes from where I live. Instead of letting these structures rot and Be destroyed the greedy developers or banks should have tried to make the best of the situation and made these houses available to hard working low income families who would be willing to go out and work To restore these properties and bring them up to code and habitable at a reduced price for those who worked on them. But doing something just because it's the right thing instead of doing something because you could make a huge profit doesn't seem to be In Rich folk's nature
ОтветитьThey definitely came in and ripped all the electrical out.
Ответитьwho owns all this
ОтветитьYou are who your Dad wanted you to be. After loss of my parents, I missed them so much. I realized 1/2 of my Dad & 1/2 of Mom = Me. Gave me comfort to touch my arm & both parents are there in me. Blessings on your discoveries.
Ответитьyea your voice 🥰🥰🥰 maybe you should make videos reading whole books 🙇🏻♀️😊 i'd listen to them
ОтветитьDude. Never seen one of ur vids til today. Looking like Connor and shit. Subbing like a mofo
ОтветитьWow! What a well done, captivating journey through the desert of a once promising neighborhood full of dreams. Only 18 days away. Thank you for telling this story for those that were not able to realize their dreams.
I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your father. My father died 12 years ago and my mother is gone now too. You are so right about dealing with grief head on and straight through it!
I hope your life continues to be full of many blessings!
those houses are not beyond repair you are silly
ОтветитьGod I hate vandals.
ОтветитьNow it stays beautiful without all of the built up sterile McMansions.
ОтветитьThe Mohave Desert is beautiful it reminds me of Pahrump Nevada . Too bad that the development can’t go on. Sorry for your loss of your Dad
ОтветитьAloha Jeremy - I’m a new subscriber and can’t wait to ride along. May your father rest in peace and fly with angels as he watches over you.
ОтветитьI feel what you’re portraying, I’m also living thru grief but now trying to take care of my mom.
ОтветитьThe houses are not "beyond repair" IMO.
The issue from what I can see, is water and electricity and sewerage services. Where are they? Because the funding for the larger community failed, it looks like this infrastructure was not delivered. If that was available, you could easily fix the internals and replace the windows, doors etc. The roofs appear to be largely intact.
The areas seems to be remote although there's a busy highway within view. It really shows the folly of materialism, since all the houses are massively large and would be hugely expensive to cool or heat. Ridiculous.
Whoa 🫠
ОтветитьSold me a motorcycle that I have to hide from my wife.
Ответитьthe part where you shared your story and your love for your bike was the best part. I love my bike too, rode it whole day today
ОтветитьIf curious, the addy of this place (Google Maps) is: 12389 Old Miners Rd, Kingman, AZ 86401
Ответить*Watch out for Spaceships!!! 🛸👽🛸
ОтветитьSick bike!
ОтветитьThose tires at that beginning looked pretty new
ОтветитьI'm about to go fix it up
