I don't believe that the scientists are "explicitly" working for a world government....but they know that if they swing the data the world will go in a general direction of bigger government. So, I think it is thought about, but no actual conspiracy planned.

According to Cato, there are thousands of emails... well, yes, there usually are thsouands of emails within a research institute, probably the same goes for Cato, who, by the way focuses on free market research, not atmospheric science. Who are we to tell that the "thousands of emails" concern the details of dispute in the scientific analysis of global warming?

For what exactly, having rivalries with other scientists? Writing emails about how to present data? What about criminal charges for stealing private emails? I'm sure the Cato Institute and Fox would agree?

The Australian Prime Minister chose to IGNORE the Government research of many decades and voted with a Leftist Fringe Organisation with a Gore-ist agenda!

@gezbrady Rudd chose to Ignore CSIRO & used the figures of a left leaning "Environmental Group" to base his Environment Policy on. You see gez - I have family in Australia. This is nonsense, these Bozos are trying to twist the meaning around so it sounds like the evidence is weak, but it really the corporate supported deniers who are trying to undermine the evidence, which should be obvious even to the person on the street.
