Mega Man Funko Action Figures Wave 1 Review

Just the look of the figures makes me mad awful face job and mislabeled packaging

I need these and the robot masters would be fantastic!! 🤞

They're at Gamestop? Well for once I actually have a reason to go to a Gamestop (I have a local game store in my area that also sells retro games so I almost never go to Gamestop). Last time I bought an actual game and not just merch at a Gamestop W was president.

How do these compare to the Loyal Subjects line?

No Robot Masters...no buy! Sorry but I've been burned before by other Megaman lines.

These would be good for a low priced Smash Bros. set

Nice figures, but it's cheap and lazy that 80% of the line is comprised up color variants of MM.

I get why they're doing the Mega Man variants but come on, at least give them some accessories. The lack of stuff to go with these figures is pretty bad. Each variant should have a clip on blast or a leaf shield or something. These are too basic.

They could create the entire Megan man 1-10 and have a good run.

Might get this for a stand in until I get the sentinel one. I will get the Wily one though. Also, yeah, we need robot masters.

Here we have Mega man, followed by Mega man, and whatdya know here's another Mega man, and yet another Mega man... I passed on these and got the giant Jakks Pacific 30th anniversary Mega man instead, which was marked down to 20 bucks. Don't get me wrong I think these look great but it seems like the quality of everything Funko makes (outside of Pops and Hikaris) has basically become bootleg cheap. Some of the appendages in various toys I've gotten from them broke without force (which I guess doesn't matter if you never intend on removing them from packaging). I know that's mostly the fault of the manufacturer but ya gotta cover all of your bases. Great review Dan.

I think I'll stick with my Bionicle MOC with 3D parts.

Tons of companies have made articulated Mega Man figures.

Plenty of companies have made articulated Robot Masters.

No one, and I mean NO ONE, has made a complete set of Robot Masters in a consistent, articulated style. Not even the Original Six.

So Dan, I think the reason the eye paint is outside the eye sculpt a bit on every Mega Man, is because it looks like they changed the shape of the eyes between the sculpting phase and the painting phase. If you look closely, the actual eye paint is slightly taller and thinner than the eye sculpt, which is a bit shorter and wider.

Doing almost all repaints of Mega Man is a bad idea. I hope they do a second wave with actual robot masters...

I liked them, like Pixel Dan said, we need robot masters! Roll, Proto Man, Bass and Treble. Roll, Eddie "Fliptop", Beat, and Otto or is it Auto? The big green robot in other words.

I have the classic megaman

I can't help but suspect this line is dead due to the first wave of being multiple repaints of Rock and a solitary Dr. Wily. Like they could have done an assortment of Robot Masters with weapons that can peg in, but nope.

Man..a yr later and nothing?? This line was great. What wouldve been cool is a follow up line consisting of the robo master that these versions represented.

I have those but just mega man and wily I got them from GameStop too

These Funkos don't even look like Funkos, which makes them the best Funkos to buy!
