Ridiculous story. Why did Jesus even need a betrayer? He could have just gone to the Romans and said: "okay, here I am; have at me". This would have avoided any need for someone to betray him and thus incur deicidal guilt.

When Jesus told the disciples: "One of you will betray me" and left it at that, he likely created paranoia nd distrust among them. He didn't try to run away or hide, which were of course, available options.

Moreover, he could have just pulled Judas aside at a discreet moment and told him: "Look, I know what you're going to do. Don't do this to yourself; don't bring guilt upon your head. Here's 30 pieces of silver. Get out of town on the next caravan and do us both a favor". But no, Jesus didn't try to dissuade Judas from the betrayal, when he might have shown a little compassion and talked him out of it.

But I can image Jesus saying to himself: I've got this damn prophesy to fulfill, so i've got to get betrayed. Could be that Judas wasn't doing a good job as a disciple, so Jeuis figred He had to let him go.

God choose good and bad people to his love, some chooses his life some not take his love so they choose some other things and perishes, Judas tried with his power so he failed in presence of temptations.

When I consider the omniscient, and omnipresent, aspects of God, that is to say, knowing all, and, being able to exist in past, present, and future simultaneously, not being constricted by time, or ignorance, God must have foreseen the falling of Lucifer before He created him. I have wondered if there was some correlation between the relationships of God/ Lucifer, and Jesus/Judas? I've yet to find an answer, or even anyone posing the question. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Good job pastor. This is a great testimony in regarding Yahweh's Supreme will of predestination. There are vessels created for blessings and vessels created for distruction! All at Yahweh's design. Like it or not , thats the fact of the matter!

What I also find amazing about this human dynamic (relationship) is Jesus appointed Judas to handle the money. Yet, He (Jesus) knew he (Judas) was a thief.

All the stories I've heard about Judas positions God our Creator as one who would create a human being to go to hell. I'm thinking something else. God knew somebody had to betray his Son in order for the Crucifixion to occur. Could it be thought that Judas thought that by going to the chiefs and offering them money, that eventually the people would rise up against them, saying that he was innocent of any crime, and let Jesus go and leaving him alone. I'm having a hard time thinking that God created a man to go to hell. Were the gospel stories about Judas written by men who were still grieving their Master's death, and wrote their stories through that lens? I'm having trouble with this.

God had a plan and jesus was god manifested in the flesh. Jesus knew he would be betrayed by judas but it did not spare him the pain because god is loving and cannot see how someone could betray someone else. Like love cannot see how someone could be evil. Evil cannot see how someone could be good. When lucifer betrayed god and tried overthrowing him god didn't hate lucifer but instead he punished him and separated him and his allies from the good not as an act of separation but out of protection of everything good.

So Judas is the sacrificial lamb for the sacrificial lamb to appease the almighty who couldn't be appeased unless blood is shed. Who knows maybe all the wars and killings going on in the world today is part of the agenda to appease the almighty Biblical God too.

BTW John 13:18 has to be a fabrication as there is no way Psalm 41 refers to Jesus Christ.

Saying Judas was an apostle is basically teaching that you can loose your Salvation.

Saying judas was a saved  is  basically Saying  you can loose your Salvation.

Judas was not a true believer.

Judas was called for a different purpose.

He wasn't a believer.

Judas was called to fulfill prophecy.

Judas is known as the Son of perdition.

Judas is known as unclean.

Judas is known as a devil .

Judas is a traitor, and was prophesied to be a traitor.

Judas had a chance to believe, but he didn't believe.

It is written.

◄ Psalm  41:9 the prophecy

New International Version
Even my close friend, someone I trusted, one who shared my bread, has turned against me.

◄ Matthew 26:23 ► the prophecy fulfilled

New International Version
Jesus replied, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me.

◄ John 13:18 ► the prophecy fulfilled

New International Version
“I am not referring to all of you; I know those I have chosen. But this is to fulfill this passage of Scripture: ‘He who shared my bread has turned against me.’

◄ John 13:10 ►

New International Version
Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, (though not every one of you.”)

◄ John 13:11 ►

New International Version
For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said (not every one was clean.)

◄ John 6:70 ►

New International Version
Then Jesus replied,     (Have I not chosen you),      the Twelve?   YET ONE OF YOU IS A DEVIL!”

◄ Matthew 26:24 ►

New International Version
The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him.( But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man!) It would be better for him if he had not been born.”

Saying it would have been better if he had never been born ,

Is like saying he is not going to be in HEAVEN. Or how ever you want to put it.

WHEN JUDAS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SHARING THE GOSPEL, CASTING OUT
DEMONS, AND HEALING THE SICK.

HE WAS GETTING HIS HUSTLE ON.↙️

14Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests 15and asked,

“WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO GIVE ME IF I DELIVER HIM OVER TO YOU?”

So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver. 16From then on Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over.

Yes, I agree that Judas was a disciple of
Christ,  but so we're many .

English Standard Version john 6:64
But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.)

English Standard Version JOHN 6:65
And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”

English Standard Version JOHN 6:66
After this many of (HIS DISCIPLES) turned back and no longer walked with him.

MANY OF HIS DISCIPLES FELL AWAY.

A true believer is saved for all eternity.

TRUE BELIEVERS DO NOT TURN BACK.

N I V,     THE FATHER'S  HAND.
1 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; NO ONE CAN SNATCH THEM OUT OF MY FATHER’S ’s HAND.

KJ V     THE SON'S HAND.
2 I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, NEITHER SHALL ANY MAN PLUCK THEM OUT OF MY HAND

K J V THE HOLYSPIRIT'S TEMPLE

3 What? know ye not THAT YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY GHOST WHICH IS IN YOU, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

( TRIPLE  SECURITY, )

( TRIUNE SECURITY, )

ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED.

King James Bible
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

The true believer will truly believe.

The one who stops believing never TRULY believed.

ACTS 16:29
Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, And brought them out, and said,

Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

AND THEY SAID,

BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED,

King James Bible
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

King James Bible
Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The bible clearly talks about

1.(ENDURANCE )

King James Bible
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

The bible clearly talks about

2.(Continuing to believe)

New Living Translation
It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.

The bible clearly talks about

3.(Perseverance)

New International Version
You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.

CONTINUING TO BELIEVE
ENDURANCE, AND PERSEVERANCE.
                       How

BY OUR STREGNTH OR BY GOD'S
STREGNTH .

IF IT IS BY OUR STREGNTH IT IS A WORKS DOCTRINE.

IF BY GOD'S STREGNTH IT IS BECAUSE HE IS THE SAVIOR.

Yes the TRUE believer will do these
                      THINGS
        BUT NOT TO STAY SAVED
       BUT BECAUSE HE IS SAVED

THE TRUE BELIEVER IS SECURE IN WHAT CHRIST HAS DONE FOR HIM,

THOMAS ALSO GETS SENT OUT TO DO THE WORKS, BUT AFTER THE RESURRECTION  HE CLEARLY STATED THAT HE DIDN'T BELIEVE.

THOMAS DOUBTED EVER SINCE THE BEGINNING,

The only DIFFERENCE IS THOMAS
CAME TO THE FAITH, HE BELIEVED.

English Standard Version john 17:12
While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

God gave Adam and Eve a choice.
No where in the bible does it say that Judas was given a choice. He had to do what he was predestined to do, as Jesus said that scripture would be fulfilled. John 17 : 12
God said "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and compassion on who I have compassion.
Read Romans 9 : 14 - 24.
Do not deny God His power, for His thoughts are not our thoughts, neither our ways are His ways.
Isa. 55: 8 - 9
Do not be too quick to judge.

I am a very strong Christian and believer, but still I ask, and maybe I am wrong…. But I understand needing a human adult catalyst for healing or teaching for a reason, but I can’t understand using children and animals. That will always be one thing I will never understand but I will trust Gods decision…. It weighs on my heart heavily. And I also feel sad for Judas. That God chose him… that he had no way to say sorry or repent for what he had done…. I get it…. He sold our beloved Jesus and I agree with Gods end for him, but what did Judas do to be born with that on his shoulders? These things it’s hard for me to understand…. I love our God and Jesus. But why Judas? ❤✝️🙏

Judas may not have gone to the authorities because he wanted their payout. It wasn't even that much. It may have had something to do with Jesus having claimed to be a king OR something Jesus essentially wanted him to do. Apocalyptic eschatology would explain that motivation and rationale. An excellent work exploring this is Peter Rollins' _The Fidelity of Betrayal_.
