I've been ignoring those labels for years. I'm sure my gut is a smorgasbord of bacteria.
ОтветитьUse by label is held to the same standard as best before so... what are we actually getting done here?
ОтветитьThe crazy thing is we use the same brands at home and in commercial settings. Only the home use products have actual dates on them. I purchased ketchup (one of many things I bought) for my business from a commercial food vendor and looked for the date so long I thought I was missing something. The only items that contain dates are things such as dairy that have to be used by a certain date. All others have the production date and that’s it. However, because of food mishandling in the US st the end-user b-to-c level, I don’t know that it’s wise to remove them. Stores don’t fifo as it is and have expired products on the shelf already. No telling what will happen.
ОтветитьI think this is only an American problem 😂 The rest of the world is able to differentiate between the two
ОтветитьWhole foods, man... It's outrageous.
ОтветитьJust means eat it faster so you can buy more sooner.
ОтветитьAs retail worker, this is a bad news. We usually get those 'Best Before' for free. Well, depend on the delivery status of the item... And now, no free 'garbage food' for us?!
ОтветитьYeah I had a roommate who would throw away food from the fridge that was past its best before date, I had to convince him it was safe to consume.
ОтветитьShame on the executives who decided to label best by without use by labels next to it. Never trust a business graduate that didn't take ethics class.
ОтветитьStimmt
ОтветитьUhm. Why does it have a best before. Probably be cause it tastes better (the taste you're used to) before that date.
ОтветитьFun fact; the salt we get from the ocean could be like a millions years old. But when we take it form the ocean and put it in the stores suddenly there is an expiration date on it.
ОтветитьAndrew Shultz needs to replace Trevor!!
ОтветитьWell, I wait till green stuff is growing on my food anyway, and I just eat around the green fur.
ОтветитьI always figured that the best by date was a corporate creation to get people to throw out perfectly okay food and replace it. These food corporations and agriculture corporations weren't satisfied by the fact that people have to continually replace their food because they always have to eat. They wanted people to be replacing it faster, hence, the best by date which would cause people to replace their food more often giving more money needlessly to these corporations. So I always told everyone I knew not to pay attention to the best by date.
ОтветитьCorrection, that's "out of HER four penises."
ОтветитьBrings a new meaning to pea valley
ОтветитьI'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that when a product was nearing its exp date the supermarket would have to reduce the price. Now they get to sell it at full price and you can play a few bonus games of "is that mold, rot or just the packaging" and "how many days can this be in the fridge before I get food poisoning".
ОтветитьI grow Winter Squash & they can last 9 months! Butternut, buttercup, acorn & delicata. Super easy, low maintenance & 90+% of seeds sprout! Next time you buy one, just save some seeds, dry them & plant them.
ОтветитьWhy do we have to keep dumbing down everything? "use by" and "best before" literally explain what they mean.
ОтветитьAs a Indian 🇮🇳 belong to a farmer family i am happy that we don't have to suffer from hunger.
ОтветитьUgh. So now I have to eat food when it’s at its worse. No thank you.
Ответитьused by also have no set standards either
ОтветитьThe best by or best before labels have never stopped me from doing the sniff test and asking a second person their opinion.
ОтветитьIt's called life cycle management.
ОтветитьFinally, they should have changed these labels years ago.
ОтветитьHaircut maybe!? You think!?
ОтветитьWhy not print both
Ответить😲😲😲😲😔🥺🙄
ОтветитьPenisses? 🤣
Does he know a cow is a lady animal?
The sheer number of time my last manager fell back on "best by doesn't mean sell by or goes bad after" on soda and chips that customers returned because they were 8 months or more past the 'best by' date and were disgusting. We even tried taking them out of the stock and somehow they would end up back in the cases. Anything to avoid taking a few dollars loss on something purchased a year ago I guess...
ОтветитьThis is true soo many people throw away food that isn't bad
ОтветитьIf it smells fine I'm eating it. Simple use your nose people. Lol
Ответитьits ot people throwing away most stuff. Its the stores. They cant sell stuff thats close to, or passed the best before date. Stop blaming the consumers!
ОтветитьBut sometimes food actually smells bad or is moldy or doesn't feel fresh after that date. I'm confused..
ОтветитьThey want you to accidentally throw it out. So you’ll need to buy more.
ОтветитьMy mum and aunt says 6 month allowance from expiry
ОтветитьI couldn't stop laughing when trevir lost his show. Pure comedy watching these puppets realize they got canceled!
ОтветитьGo woke...go broke...right trevor? Where's Trevor? OH that's right. He got fired. No more TV show 🤭🤣
ОтветитьThe counter argument is that dumbarses that don't know the difference may eat bad food because the label still still had 2 days left on it.
ОтветитьMy wife won't let me eat food in our fridge that has "expired." I make a big point of taking it out of the fridge, but then I put it into another container and eat it any way. I never throw anything away unless it is really "bad." Meaning if there is something else already eating it, I won't.
ОтветитьThis is something that I tell everyone!!
ОтветитьNow only if Trevor was actually funny.
ОтветитьThe problem is he's big companies are the ones that make the waste stay over produce mass quantities of everything and it's not bought so it's their fault that we' on our face and shortage at the grocery store. Oh yes oh yes.
ОтветитьI thought you were retiring
ОтветитьIs it me or is he getting more pale? Is he trying to pull a Michael Jackson move on us??
ОтветитьI’m from Denmark 🇩🇰 and I actually thought, that it was common knowledge 😳🤷🏻♀️
ОтветитьFood manufacturing companies put the BB dates on their products to make people paranoid about expired foods and to get us to keep buying their products. Glad to see this is finally being exposed.
ОтветитьHumans have destroyed the circle of life.
ОтветитьMake sure they keep “sell by dates”. Corporate retailers are just that. Money hungry scammers.
