I'm so bummed that I missed this one live.
ОтветитьGreat catch. I have his book from a good few years back.
ОтветитьMy father was a slick pilot with the 7th of 1st A troop Vinh Long 71- 72
ОтветитьBADASS,nothing more/nothing less!
ОтветитьAs a slick crew chief in HHT 2/17 Cavalry in Icorp Vietnam in 1971, and having read “Low Level Hell”, I am enjoying this.
ОтветитьI've read this book 3 times over the years. I bought it just by looking at the cover, the crew chief standing on the skid about to throw smoke. It's fantastic! And dangerous because it inspired me to inquire about the Warrant Officer program in the Army to fly helicopters. That was not a program anymore but it drove me to serve in another way. I'd love to purchase a new copy and get a personal signature copy if that were possible. Has to have that original picture on the cover! Great job Bud, awesome podcast/interview. His book would make one hell of a movie. If done correctly.
ОтветитьI was a Scout gunner flying with F Troop 9th Cav 72-73 w/OH-6A's. Most scary and exciting flying there is. He's a real hero!!
ОтветитьMan o man wow .god bless his soul. Oooo, 😂
ОтветитьLow Level Hell was an amazing book I read it when I was a kid. Thank you for your service.
