I remember, god a million years ago, I would leave the console on and just sort of afk in places while studying, and some interesting things would just happen and I'd go to look and guards had slaughtered some people or creatures maybe or maybe not related to some quest I had active.

I remember playing morrowwind on my uncles og xbox and man I had no clue what I was playing but strange mushrooms are cool

Maybe Skyblivion will fully implement it.

It is such a shame that things like this are never really flashed out. I mean there is the concept of the Civil War in Skyrim but just for Quests. I know that there a mods and such but we all know that TES 6 will just be a super dumb down version of skyrim and even that is just really casual.

people loved to lie about oblivion, i remember when i was a kid it was things like getting 300 paintbrushes can let you speed run skip to the top of the white gold tower and beat the main questline. Also something about a burger in the game that when eaten would give you god mode.

Gothic was for more of a living world and ot came out before morrowing. Gothic 2 even more and it csme out the same year as Morrowind. No loading screens for houses and interiors except for going underground into a mine and alike.

I imagine this is one of the ways the devs played the game

Does no one think that Bethesda, in their genius, accidentally patched this feature out inside the many patches this game had? Why not try some older code?

I'm sure it'll never happen but I'd adore some Morrowind videos from Rimmy. It's my favourite ES after starting with Skyrim during the pandemic.

I wouldnt be surprised if the scripting was tied directly to the totems and not the goblins or their clans. Which is why it eluded a lot of modders.

Not a lot of people know this, but Oblivion has goblin wars modeled so successfully that it's an entirely different game. Called Kenshi.
