But here's hoping you'll have plenty of sunny days to enjoy in the next 12 weeks. 🙂 About the kitchen garden right outside your door now that the tree is gone, what if you only use part of that space for the kitchen stuff, and then also had space for 'normal' plants? Is there enough room to grow what you use all the time, like parsley, basil, garlic, maybe a couple of cherry tomato plants, things like that?

Question: Is it wise also spray the base of the day lilly plant where you had aphids? What if the winter frost does not kill the eggs?

Wouldn’t a beautiful herbal knot tyoe garden be cool outside your kitchen door?

I have two huge red knockout roses that I prune once the leaves shed. If I skip the yearly pruning they get massive and start grabbing ankles as you bring in the groceries. I keep the height around 4’ high by pruning back to 2.5’ high each late winter. It is amazing both how much roses will grow in a season and how tolerant they are of some pretty extreme pruning. I prune them for shape in the summer as needed, just to keep any wild branches tamed.

I think the red twig dogwoods are much prettier than the yellow.

Have you ever made tortilla pizza? Use 2 tortillas. Spread sauce on one tortilla and a just bit of cheese to stick together to make a thin crust, then add a second tortilla, add more sauce, cheese and whatever toppings you prefer. My children enjoyed making these as an after school snack.

Isn’t the pizza oven fun. There is a definite learning curve but we love using ours also. What a glorious day in the garden. I just started looking into bird feeders and non- messy seed. We’ve been feeding the hummingbirds for years and love watching them.

Hello! I am excited to tell you that I had a HoseLink installed in my garden today! Woo hoo! Thank you for your recommendation of this product! I am so thrilled to have one to make watering much easier. I got the 82’ size and I can bring the hose to every area of my front yard, side yard, and most of my back yard! GAME CHANGER! 😊

I cut my stock and let them dry inside all the time. Or leave them on for the winter, they eventually dry out!

I absolutely love Russell sitting on the kneeling pad, making it look like his own little place to be lots and lots of tear down. My goodness seems like no matter how much you cut down is always more of a by myself at least fear for bed that have not gotten to take anything down and they’ll probably wait till springs are having snow again tonight Anyway it was a blast. Come 2025 spring, we are going to be awed by the gardens' growth from the abundant moisture. I was this last spring. Exciting.

My I ask what is in the large fountain in the front of the house? Sorta looks like rocks. If it is rocks (second, followup question), why are they they in there? Does it serve a purpose (which I'm sure it does but I don't know about it)?

My son has one of those pizza ovens and loves it! He makes his own dough and sauce from scratch! One night, because of “life” they picked up a papa John’s pizza…His 2 yr old daughter took one bite and said, “this is the wrong pizza!” 😂😂
