Bro i love KD man.
ОтветитьGot love for you but this wasn’t your best video. While I do agree KD’s performance wasn’t the worse ever. Your graphic is flawed. You asked the question “Is this the worst playoff run by a Superstar in their prime?” then proceeded to show numbers from an individual series for other guys. If you were to put up the numbers from the full playoff run, the graph would look a lot different. Particularly for Kobe, LeBron and Curry.
ОтветитьShould the suns game 7 be on an updated version of this
ОтветитьNgl, was a little taken aback at the start, but reqally well put, v v interesting story telling and PoV. Nice stuff!
Ответить'Play off K' 😅
ОтветитьKD is still really good, I do think people are underestimating how much Father Time is catching up to him though. 15 seasons, several major injuries. The window of him putting a whole team on his shoulders is probably gone, at least for a whole series. We're fast approaching the time where he will have to be the second best player on a team that wins a championship.
ОтветитьHopefully kd bounces back frl that 2021 run was crazy js one foot away from going to the finals
ОтветитьI thought he didnt play well, but the biggest meltdown of all time? That is a stretch
ОтветитьDurant didn’t get out of the first round.
These series “collapses” were in the FINALS. That’s why it’s far worse.
I swear you said
Bench Simmons lol
Kobe bryant only had a bad game cause he didnt want Carl Malone piggy backing on him for a ring. That's known.
ОтветитьKD was simply outplayed by the eventual eastern conference champs
ОтветитьShaqs prime is laker what the hell do you mean?
ОтветитьNooooooo!! “BENCH SIMMONS” 😂😭💀
Ответитьi mean MJ had the number 45 thats why he didnt put up his usual numbers
ОтветитьI think Michael Jordan was making a prophecy of the future of Russell Westbrook. that's why he played like that we even can his intentions as you view what I said.
ОтветитьI literally have been spending the whole night at my job binge watching your channel. Bro, you are DEFINITELY the goat at making NBA videos. Jordan and Lebron ain't got shit on you lol
Ответить“You must first learn to fail in order to succeed”
ОтветитьIn my opinion, KD simply isn't a winner. Didn't surprise me, he needs to ride a 73-9 team to get two "rings".
ОтветитьBro KD leading Nets as the best dark horse team in the NBA right now, maybe he watched this video.😂😂
ОтветитьI hope you keep making videos as long as I live. This is another example of thoughtful writing, incisive analysis and quality video editing to produce a tight 10 to 12 minute surgical analysis despite all that is said and done out in the haze of the knee-jerk NBA basketball critical reactions. Seriously. Your perspectives are thoughtful and levelheaded. As always, nice work. Keep it up.
ОтветитьPoor cupcake 🧁. He can't win on his own team. Needs a prebuilt home. Livin the trailer life
ОтветитьMajority of the players you mentioned I atleast have heard the names of.... never watched a game in my life so that says something.
ОтветитьOn that graph you said they would have to be in the primes is at that point with the Miami Heat Shaq was not in his prime so you’re wrong
ОтветитьI love the idea behind the graph, but I'm a little skeptical of the math. First, the one to one increase in net rating doesn't correspond with the increase in game score. Secondly, the line from Wade to Thomas doesn't make any sense. The line clearly runs through around Chris Paul to around Magic. Under that line are the true legacy tarnishing performances. Very clearly, they are from Duncan, IT, Wade, Shaq, Hakeem, and KG. Every other "bad" performance needs research. For context behind the one's mentioned:
Kobe: Kobe was forced to play 1v5. People who look back on this series tend to look at Kobe favorably.
Shaq: Traditionally, prime for centers was defined as up to 32 years old. Shaq had an MVP type season, but he wasn't in his prime. This graph seems to reflect that.
Wade: Wade's knees were shot by this point of his career. People thought this cliff was going to come sooner. The graph also seems to indicate that Wade's prime ended prematurely.
LeBron: The change of tone with LeBron was hilarious and the justification for his performance was really bad. The ratio between LeBron's game score and net rating is more or less in line with the average of every other potentially legacy tarnishing performance. This means that LeBron's performance versus the Mavs was roughly equal to Kobe's performance versus the Pistons.
Steph: Steph shot 60/40/90 and took the Cavs to 7 games. He had a 58 TS% and 53 eFG%. The problem was rebounding. That's not Steph's role. If the team rebounded, there is no way Steph loses that series because of how efficient he was and the presumably corresponding increase in game score, but then again, LeBron ate all the boards.
KD: KD's "legacy tarnishing" series was versus Golden State when the Cavs won. The Warriors won the series with a negative net rating. KD was the only starter on the Thunder with a negative net rating for that series.
Duncan: This one needed to be mentioned. It's right in the area with Bron and Steph, and it's the only performance between the three of them that is a legitimate legacy tarnishing candidate, according to the graph.
was waiting for "oh, want to know who had the worst performance" at the end
ОтветитьAy now, BBJr got a ring now so put some respect on it 😂
ОтветитьHe just old
Ответитьyou mentioned only using stars in their prime when mention series meltdowns but include D Wade’s 2014 D Wade was definitely out of his prime by a couple years by that point
ОтветитьGang where’s Lebron at the beginning
Ответитьmaybe you should add the context to mj failure lol bro literally hadnt play ball, no comparison kd at alllll!!1!!
ОтветитьKD ruined the nba. Harden and Lebron would both have +1 ring. Literally legacy changing.
ОтветитьThis video ignores how phenomenal the Celtics were defensively against KD
ОтветитьJordan is only DeRozan in todays basketball
ОтветитьGood thing he had some coattails to ride or he'd be at the top of the list of great players to never win a ring. It pays to give up and ride the success of your rivals apparently.
ОтветитьThe difference between MJ is and everyone else is they didn’t retire and play an entirely different sport… MJ goat and always will be. After that he got another 3PEAT.
No one else in NBA history woulda pulled that off.
disrespectful for you to compare brandon clarke to kevin durant. everybody knows that clarke is better
ОтветитьWho else is here after KD boutta get swept in the first round again 😂
ОтветитьI'm here after KD's first round series, EXACTLY 2 years later.
Ответитьlmfaooo suns j got swept by ant
ОтветитьDon't worry, some random high school kid probably stole his talent.
ОтветитьWell MJ took a lot of time off for baseball so I understand how he wasn’t the best in that series
