Just watched a documentary on her on the TV and then this pops up. Matrix is working well.

That dreadful anorexia nervosa took two amazingly talented singers from us. First we lost the wonderful Karen Carpenter in 1982 at the age of just 32. Then we lost Lena in 1999 at just 35 years of age. I've no doubt that both of them fought hard to conquer their condition. The really sad thing in Lena's case is that it was said she was recovering well from recent brain surgery to try to combat her depression when she succumbed to pneumonia. Two incredible talents. Two extraordinary voices.
