ok just finished it and ugghhh i hate that the ending is so open ended........ like so what she can't ever see her family again...... and what happened to her friends back home? ugghh anime never do have proper endings im sad..... it seems that the mangas ending is the same too which bothers me.

i would've liked it if inuyasha actually got some training to being a demon himself. it has been shown many times that inuyasha is relatively helpless against those like sesshomaru and the band of seven without his sword. In the final act , Inuyasha had been able to control his demon nature whenever the sword was removed from all it's demonic powers. I would've liked it if inuyasha was taught to command this change at will and even get a new dog form like his father, brother, and step-mother, with the drawback being that he could only tap in to that power only for a limited time before having to revert unlike the said family members.

I've been watching anime for 10 years and Inuyasha is still my favourite anime. It may be a bit repititive but what I loved about it was the character development. Also, I hated Naraku, hence why he's my favourite villain. He didn't need a reason to hurt people, he did it because it amused him. He psychologically tortured his victoms, even the people who were forced to do his bidding. What I loved most is that the writer wasn't afraid to kill of certain characters, I've been watching Fairy Tail recently and it annoys me to no end that no one dies in the series, even side characters! Anyway, the music is amazing, there were some amazing fight scenes and Sesshoumaru-sama is in it, what else can you ask for. <3 (this is my opinion, so please don't be negative towards me)

it wasn't that repetitive my dude. you can literally count on one hand the number of times they actually managed to corner naraku throughout the original series, plus naraku had puppets so it wasn't always him.after the end of season 3 they didn't see him much at all until season 5. i would give inuyasha a solid 8

IMO anime like Inuyasha,Naruto,DBZ,Bleach are all great anime at least 8/10 maybe 7/10 if you really hate fillers. But still all of these anime are like must watch for any anime fans and than you move onto any other anime like sailor, fundamental, robotics, blue gender, death note etc..

InuYasha was awesome. Loved the entire series, especially the episodes that dealt with his and Sesshomaru's father, the Inu no Taisho (Dog General). Specifically, Ryukotsusei and the Panther Devas. Great background information there, about the Great Dog Demon. Needless to say, my favorite of the movies was the third one. Also, because of the So'unga, as well as Inu no Taisho. :).

you guys all ignore the fact of the crazy plot twist in the end where the Jewel was the villain the entire time. How the Jewel wanted repetitious conflict to always occur so it can become stronger and continue existing? This explains the entire point of the show. All the main conflicts, horrible events that happened to the characters, and all the complex love triangles, because of the Jewel. Just think about it, the Jewel was so power hungry it forced Kagome to go to the Feudal Era so it can continue its rampage. I can go on forever about how crazy this actually is and how overlooked this crucial point really is!!!! All you cry babies whining that the show is repetitious need to understand this point, the Jewel needs repetition to become stronger.
Honestly go re-watch the series knowing this and all the repetitious nonsense complaints will diminish. I recently re-watched Inuyasha and holy cow it made me realize how complex this anime really is.
Greatest anime of all time, nothing comes close.

i'm currently rewatching inuyasha, i'm at episode 144 right now ,it's so slow that when watching it back as a kid i thought the first 30 episodes were more like 60,and the amount of times they remind you of whats going on is nuts, regardless i'm enjoying the nostalgia trip

Honestly what I think I like the most about Inuyasha, is that character progression, how they grow and get stronger, is more his weapon grows and gains new abilities and thus he becomes more powerful, but it's not contrived like say the multiple different super saiyans levels in dragon ball Z, it just felt more natural, at least to me, also the romance was so believable in Inuyasha, they get jealous, angry, bitter, everything about their relationships seem to flow so naturally.

Inuyasha had the best continuity ever. There was a reason why Naroku escape time and time again. Although he manipulated all the characters in the series and caused them to suffer, it was the shikon jewel the real villain of the story, it used Naroku as a pawn to ultimately realized its dark intentions. In the end it was Kagome 's courage and unselfish nature who could in the made the correct wish to end the series as it should've been. All the events lead up to that moment . This might not be a popular opinion but I'd like to see Sesshomaru fell in love and safe Kagura😊

I think inuyasha would of surprisingly chosen kikiyo. He would just lose all focus when she was around and everyone else even Kagome would become invisible. He would even sneak out to see her and he can't be mad at her no matter what. He said he was prepared to leap into hell if she commanded him to.

When the Band of Seven was brought into the series for their saga and Kagome's friends giving Kagome love advices (i.e. 2 actresses played a second role: Cathy Weseluck & Jullian Michaels (Kagome's Mom & Shippo their first characters before 2 of Kagome's friends) ), it was definitely a breath of fresh air. We got something new and fresh, a change from Naraku's repetitiveness cycle of escaping from his enemies and being a coward. Especially the relationship between Kagome/Inuyasha/ Koga & his wolf demon tribe members, Kohaku/Rin/Sesshomaru AND Inuyasha/Kagome/Kikyo. New and fresh which makes things very interesting that also brings the story arcs along with the series. Who else likes new and different besides me?

I been watching it and collecting it on bluray, I can see where the jewel can go. If you seen Ranma 1/2 that came before InuYasha... The same thing Ranma, about the cure for their curse... The same idea and premise of both, when she did InuYasha. It felt like Ranma, but bth had good stories...
