Thump Thump blows the YCS out the water because if you shoot the legs in vats it basically is guaranteed to hit. You also do not need crit perks because explosives cannot crit but three-four shot everything.

I've been too busy to exist online for a bit since I got a job finally which has put ridiculous amount of stress on me but I've gotten into painting (with a bit of wine and snacks on the side) on the weekends and I have started putting on YT vids as background noise and I've just started this Fallout New Vegas playlist and I think I've come to enjoy my days off a lot more. I'm no longer just sleeping and dreading going to work.

iirc explosives are tied to framerate, so if you turn vsync off or uncap the framerate above 60, you get this quirky behavior. Besides a lot of other interesting behavior Dan runs into during this playthrough.

i downloaded a mod that uncapped the amount of caps you could bet lol. it was gross

While Blackjack is the most reliable way to cheese the casinos in this game with a high luck score, slot machines will allow you to significantly bypass the casinos' jackpot limit.

if you get close to the limit and then hit oranges on slots, since it doesn't knock chips off of any win that exceeds the limit. just play blackjack to get close to the limit play slots for the oranges, roulette to lose chips if too close to limit

The YCS is probably the only reason to not use Wild Wasteland

I feel like, once you repick the special perks, get four eyes, glasses will grant 2 perception and hats also provide an extra 1, giving you a full 3 extra perception, its even better with the Ranger helmet because while they take up the hat slot, they count as glasses giving you 2 perception still

When i played new vegas i just played it like every other Bethesda game and conepletly bullshat it, i stocked up on so fucking many healing items and drugs that i became nigh immortal, i was out here in the battle of hoover dam wearing a boomer flight suit, a space helmet, and using a 9mm pistol

after learning about the Skilled perk bug, at first I thought I did it wrong but realised there's two ways the skilled perk can be glitches/bugged, RTs way, where you choose it once and then rebuild your character and just picking a different perk keeping the plus 5 on all skills

or you can choose the skilled perk again and get +10 on all skills... in which case if you respec again with the autodoc in the old world blues dlc, you can probably just keep boosting your skills every +5 every time you respec...?

also after stealing from the van graffs RT then decided to become rich by cleaning the casinos, therefore RT just destroyed the strips economy by stealing and gambling

Honestly think that the Fallout companions are better at jumpscares than most horror movie that rely on jumpscares
