If Reina was alive back then, she would be as old as Kazuya. Also, Reina learns much of what she knows throughout the story. She didn't know how to activate the devil gene at first. She learns this from Jin. Given her electric ki, I'm pretty sure Reina is a blood Mishima.

Answer: Heihachi was hesitating about killing Kazumi, and Kazuya and Jin are Mishimas, you know how busted Mishimas are. In other words, normal devil gene user is just easy mode for Heihachi.

Is Reina not a Mishima?
Answer: Reina is definitely Heihachi's daughter. Only a Mishima can generate electrics just like Jin, Kazuya, Lars, and the Tekken Monks.

Who is the Hachijo baby that Heihachi spared?
Answer: The last baby from Hachijo clan is probably Reina's mother or Reina is a lab baby like Steve.

Reina knowledge and status as a member of the clan creates another plot hole due to (Tekken 4 Heihachi's Prologue). He was literally searching for Jin because he was the only remaining carrier of the Devil Gene. (Kazuya was thought to be dead the the time.) If Reina actually is a member of the clan then why would he need Jin when he already has her? Heihachi originally had been looking for a means to augment himself with the Devil Gene, Ogre's blood, and Genocell. Nothing about Reina makes anything make sense only creates more plot holes and contradictions. Harada should have retired as the story writer years ago.

When Kazuya hut her eith beam, she had reawoken with the devil red eye which means she did unlock it. Maybe not the transformation but the power itself manifested in her and gave the same red devil eyes as Jin, Kazuya, & Kazumi.

1. Heihachi was a teenager when kazumi joined the mishima dojo. He truly loved kazumi and was very happy when kazuya was born. He was forced to kill kazumi as she wouldnt stop in her rage to try to kill him. After that he understood that she inherited an evil power and realized kazuya mist also inherit it. All those events led to remorse and he took revenge on the hachijo. He killed all of them except one. But that one spared live was not reina. It was a fenale hachijo who later became the mother of reina as heihachi impregnated her to make another child his own who posesses the devil gene. Why he did that we do not know yet.

2. Reina knows her father has amnesia and is currently trained by the tekken monks to sync body mind and soul as that sync is needed so he can obtain the mishima warrior instinct via the star breaker trial. Butvhe has problems to sync his body and soul as his soul is "wavering" and lidia is seen as the perfect trainingpartner for hei as she seems to be in sync. Thats why she lures her to the temple and lidia goes there in hopes to make an ally out of old man Heihachi.

I think it’s very likely that she’s still a Mishima, in the same way Jin is. He claims his mother’s name, but there’s no denying Kazuya Mishima is his father.

I think Reina is Heihachi’s daughter still and has claim to the Mishima name, but is undeniably a daughter of the Hachijyou clan. Whether she is Kazumi’s daughter and was spared, or the daughter of the child he spared and “experimented” on, is where I think we still aren’t sure.

Tekken’s story is dumb and DRAGGED. I wish they shift the focus on other characters more. Less screen time for Mishimas, Alisa, Lars and boring ass Nina.

wtf lemme get this right. Some of yall are saying its okay to assume that the baby was Reina's mother and was impregnanted by Heihachi...but its not okay to assume that the baby was just Reina. Reina vs heihachi fight intro shows heihachi knows about devil Reina and it's HIS plan for her to awaken it.

Either

A) The baby was Reina and she's way older than she looks since Heihachi would have taken out the Hachicho 40+ years ago

B) The baby girl was Reina's mother who Heihachi got with later when she was older then they had Reina, since Reina has electricity which is Mishima exclusive and if she's adopted she wouldn't have it

C) Heihachi wiped out the Hachijo way later and found Reina explaining why she's so young

Possibilities:
1- That baby is Reina's mother, Heihachi groomed her for years and then had Reina with her (most likely option, i think)
2- That baby is Reina, Heihachi put her to cryosleep for around 30 years (not likely, because she uses electrics, which means she has Mishima blood too)
3- Reina is something like a lab-made supersoldier like Steve, made from both that Hachijo girl's and Heihachi's gene samples (unnecessarily convoluted, but well, this is Tekken, so it is plausible)

Heihachi will betray Reina just like he has everyone else. It's obvious he is only using her.

Her name was never Mishima; she was "illegitimate". However, Heihachi referring to her as "my daughter" perhaps legitimizes her as Reina Mishima? I mean, if Heihachi can't recognize his daughter as legitimate, who can?

Reina's wicked alright she may have fallen from grace due to nerfs and Heihachi but she still has some of her old wickedness within her small frame.

That being said,he(heihachi)probably raised Reina as a contingency plan bc g corp reanimated kazuya in tekken4 and also jin is not on his “side”because heihachi shot jin in tekken3.
